I got my first Maverick in October of 2023. It was a dealer demo XL. I had a 2023 XLT on order, but had no idea if I’d ever get it.

My 2023 HPR XLT finally arrived and I was excited. Almost two years and 6,000 miles later, I am disappointed in my little truck. Deep sleep, backup cam, interior scratches that make it look older than my 2018 model S and the list goes on.

If it wasn’t covered by a $0 deductible warranty until 2033, I’d probably be getting rid of it. I might get rid of it anyway. I can’t imagine ever recommending buying one to a friend.

Bottom line. I would not buy another Maverick.

I love my 23 XLT hybrid. Yes deep sleep but it always starts so I can live with it. I really like how it drives and the fuel economy is great!
I would buy a Mav again but it would be an XL to keep it as close to 30k US as I could.

I love my 2023 XLT Hybrid. Slightly over two years and 18000 miles later, it's the perfect truck for hauling my vendor booth to conventions, getting my stuff to the cabin in the Northwoods, and still getting good fuel mileage (whether I'm driving to the store or my sister's house literally a thousand miles away).

I wish I had ACC, but I'm far happier to have my cloth seats (as I hate the way leather and fake leather seats feel on my skin).

I don't worry about minor cosmetic scuffs or scratches on the interior -- it's a truck, it's meant to get used -- but honestly the Maverick has held up pretty well. Beyond some doorsill scratches and a stain on the seat where I spilled a soda at the drive in, the interior is still pretty clean.

I would buy a Maverick again in a heartbeat. Might go Lariat and put a cloth seat cover on it next time to get that ACC though. :p

(Also... 6000 miles in two years? Do you really even need to own a truck if you're using it that little? You probably could have gotten away with just renting one occasionally at that point)

30,000 miles and almost 3 years later I'd absolutely buy another Maverick. Fits my needs perfectly.

I’ve only had my Hybrid XLT for two weeks and 900 miles, loving it!
Comfortable and has enough power for my needs and gets much better mpg than my Fiesta and even has a usable back seat! In the 7 years for my Fiesta no one ever sat in the back seat!! lol!

Definitely, truck is really nice for what I paid. Only thing I would change is I would’ve opted for the 4K tow package instead of the tonneau cover. Could’ve picked one up way cheaper but I impulsively got it instead of shopping around. Granted I don’t “need” the 4K, just would’ve been a better option to go with. All in all I love the truck, take it on trips regularly and haven’t had any issues. Well worth it.

100%

Fits my needs perfectly... haul two band members gear back and forth to gigs, sometimes three of us... light-duty hauling of garden supplies and/or lumber from time to time. Gets me to and from work three or four days a week.

About 40mpg average... XL Hybrid... only factory/dealer option added was a receiver hitch. I added the bed pad and a hard rolling tonneau cover from Real Truck.

My only wish is for a plug-in hybrid version, but since I can't have that I will drive the wheels off this thing.
