Used car salesman(like R Ricardo used to say) are going to have some "splaining to do" at the Pearly gates-My wife bought 2 Honda civics when I was in the "camp" supposedly perfect cars(one had been "rear-ended" previously-it had the holes on the rear pillar where it had been straightened, still it ran fine till it was totaled in a rear end collision by a nut who shouldn't have been driving, anyway the other one has 270,000 miles on it and is still running strong.I bought used when I got my first car. It was a Toyota Corolla and I didn’t know at the time it was involved in a crash before I got it. Ever since I’ve only gotten new cars. Yes I’m spoiled and I don’t care lol.
Now the story that led up to this,WIfe and daughter went car shopping( she traded a "cherry" 2000 Accord, they stopped at the Toyota dealer, the salesman blew them off and wouldn't even talk to them so next dealer, yes mam, sold two nice civics that day.Wife got home and called the manager at the Toyota place and explained what had happened, the salesman was subsequently showed the door( moral is,do not let your prejudice and""high fer'luttins" get in the way of a sale( had the same treatment at a GMC dealer( mind you was a bit soiled from hard labor-must be a redflag, people who actually have to work couldn't have any money) anyway after several minutes alone,I just skipped the glossy sales brochure off the salesmans desk and left-never to return since then have purchased at least 3 new vehicles( salesmen.do your job!)
