The reports say Toyota TNGA platform, just depends on the wheel base they want. They have the potential to beat Ford to the punch to with the eTNGA too but Toyota seems cautious about anything that might draw from Tacoma sales.
Honestly Hyundai makes great EVs and the Santa Cruz makes total sense as an EV- I think they'd sell more than the gas only option they have right now. Toyota and Subaru are going to make a Rav4 based truck, I'd expect Ford to be in line with that thinking too but I don't have high hopes it will...
This is a sample size of the forum not necessarily representing of Maverick owners. This forum tends to be heavily skewed towards retirees whereas the subreddit is probably 30 years younger.
I have a reservation as well. If the Ford EV truck comes out at the same time or is in mass production at the same time which they're almost aligned then the Slate will fall off fast. At $20K it was a nice concept but $25k to $28k for a bare bones EV truck with low range it's a niche truck for...
More like boomers are the only ones able to afford a new car. Goes hand in hand with all the flat tow posts. Didn't even know what that was until I joined this forum.
Yes they do but they won't, it's an upsell. I wouldn't have bought a Lariat if I could get ACC on an XLT- I had to rationalize all the other Lariat features and haggle the price down the stomach the Lariat price. Maybe we'll get a mod eventually like the pre-2025s.
Might as well say no oversized vehicles instead of a crossover and a Maverick fit.l lol. Compact used to mean something like a Ford focus or a Corolla.
Making the rear window an option is odd but not a big deal, curious to see what else they removed to keep the price flat. Kind of disappointed that Adaptive cruise control is not a option yet for non lariats. I'm looking to get rid of my Ecoboost for a hybrid.
I actually like the Marsh grey...
It's there, around 3000rpm or so. I drove the hybrid back to back with the Ecoboost and the hybrid sounds like it's got a dead cylinder when accelerating - the Ecoboost sounds fine. The custome exhaust make it sound better but I don't think I could live with the drone constantly.
I can hear the whine with the radio off but the BOV is muted so you don't get a whole lot of woosh. I think the engine revving sound a lot better compared to the hybrid though.
I'm at 4500 miles, non lobo Lariat and lifetime average is about 24.6.
My mpgs have tanked recently - could be due to AC use. My normal 10 mile commute is around 23.5 mpg average despite being at 30mpg+ when coasting- the smallest acceleration just kills fuel efficiency.
Slow acceleration/eco...
I wouldn't think so, the RAV4 is the number 1 selling car and I don't think any of the boxers put out enough torque to do truck things. Although Subaru is implementing hybrids across their line now.
Got no idea who that it's but previous members just cout out the recessed part and hot glued a mesh screen on.
I have no idea but I don't think it would help but it could hurt too by lowering the preseure in the engine bay but again probably minimal.
I mean you could buy the Mabett or other brands led lights and dramel them for cheaper than this. I would imagine a significant drop in engine bay temps either.
Haven't got a notification about an update. It looks like it's telling you to enable software updates not that there's a specific update available though.
I'm not advanced in years but I would never buy an F150 because it's way too big. A young person buying an F150 is likely not the target demographic. I wanted one when they first came out but the tech and availability held me back. I bought a Lariat Ecoboost because It was the minimum set of...
Lol coming from a group of people that keep an open can of beer in the driver seat, look to bypass seatbelts, and don't like collision avoidance/lane keeping systems I think putting HVAC controls on the touchscreen is the least of your concerns.
This is my first Ford but nothing has wowed me vs. my old Subaru. I would avoid a Subaru truck with a CVT but if they took the Rav4 Hybrid powertrain and put it in a truck unibody that would be a strong competitor to the Maverick. Most likely closer to the Santa Cruz but that would be fine.
I...
Toyota confirmed they planned to bring a small pickup, it's just a matter of what and when. For Subaru, anything other than a Baja would be a travesty.
I will dump Ford in a second for a Toyota or Subaru truck.
