Do you get comments on the street about your Maverick?

It’s funny…the Maverick is considered an inexpensive truck, yet I’ve gotten more comments on it than any other vehicle I’ve owned.

Just today I got into a long chat with a cool war veteran who was disabled. He was really into the Maverick and was thinking of buying one.

I’ve noticed this happens a lot. Anyone else?

Nope, never have.
I try to keep my distance from chatty old people.

I get more comments from people when I drive my convertible smart car.

Yes, have had quite a few. One guy (admittingly old) said "Man, that's a sexy truck". Several have commented on the Cactus Gray. Most are floored when I tell them what kind of MPG I'm getting.

Happened a few times in the first year (2022). But they are pretty common now.

Its only started happening more this year. So far 4 diff people. 1 today was a kid dropping off my food curbside and asked what makes a Tremor different then said he really liked it.

They are allowed to legally lie.
When we lived in Vegas. We live next door to a metro cop. He told me never ever to talk to a cop.

34 million settlement because cops lied. Fabricated is just a fancy word for lied.

I personally knew details of this case.

Cannot say I've had a lot of people ask about the Maverick in person. I've talked to three people, outside of my family, about the Maverick in over 2 1/2 years of owning one. One was the father of a Ford tech who hadn't seen one yet. The second was just wondering what it was, and the third was another Maverick owner wondering what year/trim mine was.

Where people have previously hounded me about my Bronco or Model 3 - I never once was asked about my 23 Tremor, to the point where I felt offended.

I did have the gas attendant at Costco ask me about my 2025 Lariat AWD Hyrbid and then told me he thought it was the perfect truck. I was flattered and told him I felt the same way.

Nope, I knew he was telling the truth about cops lying.

However, police officers are legally empowered to use deception and other types of lies during interrogations. This ability originates from the 1969 Supreme Court case Frazier v. Cupp, which ruled specific police lies were permissible.

Yes and no.

Yes ... more comments than any other vehicle I've owned ....

No ... hasn't happened a lot ... a few times in '22 (e.g. "Is that a Rivian?) ... only neighbors in '25 ....

Sometimes I don't even make it to the street before it happens. Opened up the door to find the Fedex guy and he asked about it while complaining about how expensive his F250 was to maintain.
