I get that people who drive their Mav every day really don't understand why we're bothered by this. But I usually drive my Mav once per week. Every single time I get into it (for the first time that day) the lights don't work. Before the Mav I had a 20 year old S10. The fuel pump had a bad...
For more info, this is what changes after 4 days of inactivity (100 hrs?) on a '24 Ecoboost:
1) Interior lights do not come on
2) Productivity screen does not come on
3) Infotainment screen comes on for 1-2 seconds and then turns off
4) Some kind of pump (fuel pump? But sounds more like under...
251/.79 = 318 miles
I drive 60-70% city and my Ecoboost claims 29.3 mpg. I am usually able to pick my times to drive when there is only light traffic though. Very little actual highway driving, most of that other 30% is cruising down the backroads at 40-55 which the Ecoboost loves.
I have gotten compliments but everyone has already spent a bunch of money on their own setup. Plus most of these people have been doing it a lot longer than I have and they have something that really works for them. Some of these folks have been doing it for longer than I have been alive...
It's held at the Mt Sunapee Resort in Newbury, NH. This pic is from 2021 when the layout had more small tents to spread things out because of Covid, but you get the idea. There is a whole other big tent hidden by the trees in the bottom left corner. This year I was in the back corner of the...
Thanks! Yes, I made just about everything except the rug.
It's a good idea. I do drive with a long following distance when I'm loaded so it shouldn't happen but you can't account for everything.
So at this event there are 300+ vendors trying to get into and out of 8 big tents in a little...
I do craft fairs and have to get my 10'x10' booth display to the event plus all the products to sell. This is for a 9 day event so it has always taken me two trips to get everything to the show for load in and I haven't quite been able to get everything in for the trip back and have needed a...
I have an ecoboost so may be different, but even hooked up to a battery tender the lights will not come on in response to the door opening after more than 4 days. If I go out and just put the key to the on position for a few seconds on the third day it will reset and be good for another 4 days...
I had been on the fence about ordering a '24 but ended up not doing so. End of 2023 I saw an azure gray Mav parked on the street and the owner probably had to find a car wash to get all my drool off it. I was sure if I did get a Mav it would be an XL with 4k tow and no other options but that...
That's why I said "supposedly 3 cubic ft bags". The "2 cubic ft" bags are probably actually 1.5 cubic ft too and the "1.5 cubic ft" bags are probably actually 1 cubic ft. I bought 20 of the "2 cubic ft" bags recently and it didn't go anywhere near as far as I expected. The op's bags do look...
The Maverick bed is approximately 4.5'x4.5'x1.66' =33.6 cubic feet.
Add the tailgate down 6.16'x4.5'x1.66'=46 cubic ft, if you had the tailgate completely covered all the way to the top of the bed, which you only had about half of that. You did not have 60 cubic ft of mulch in 40 cubic ft of...
So you're saying I should follow page 456 of the manual and change my oil after 1 year exactly like I did?
" Your vehicle comes with the Intelligent Oil-Life Monitor system, a message appears in the instrument cluster display at the proper oil change interval. This interval may be up to one...
No. Fluid changes have recommended miles AND time intervals. The old wisdom was 3000 miles/6 months or maybe even 3 months. So I'm actually doing it much sooner than the old ways in recognition of synthetic oils. There is nothing time based about tires wearing unevenly.
That's not true. As...
I drive even less than you and at one year I was at 1500 miles and the oil life monitor was around 45% but I changed it anyway. If anyone gives you grief just tell them about me
I went through all this for months. The maintainer (Noco Genius 2 and then a Genius 5) is hooked up correctly. The battery tests good. If it was a battery issue or it was actually seeing a low state of charge putting the key on for 2 seconds would not change anything. When I drive it as soon...
I can only speak directly to the fact that I typically drive my Mav once a week and even though I have hooked it up to a battery tender after five days the lights will not come on when you open the door. My personal experience is that the Mav has some time based programming to go into these...
Cool down not needed. My habit for start up is to wait until it comes off high idle (~1200 rpm) down to the regular idle (~750 rpm). In +60F this only takes maybe 20 seconds. During winter it takes 2-3 minutes.
I thought it was the F-16 that needed the right music to drop bombs on target?
It doesn't even have to be in deep sleep mode. Park with battery fully charged. After 5 days, on a battery tender, interior lights will not come on. I honestly wonder if it the light itself has the function of reacting to the door opening and timing out after and it is some other module that...
