Disagree. Passenger side is safer for those people that run out of fuel on a highway and need to add fuel on the shoulder.

Also at the fuel pump, you don't have to worry about your door hitting the pump/pillars when you pull up right next to it.

Thinking on it on all my trucks with factory tow the plugs are on the left of the center line. The space was designated for such leaving the right of center for the plate.

Manufacturers have set design SOWs for tow hitches, electrics plug has to go on L/H side or the symmetry of the universe would be affected...

Probably no reason at all, some vehicles have a single exhaust pipe on the right, some on the left, same with the radio antenna, the only one that gripes me is the fuel filler should ALWAYS be on the driver's side.

Single exhaust goes on the side opposite the fuel filler side. That decision decides where exhaust goes.

Right handed people gets the plate on the right and left handed people gets it on the left. If you're left handed, call Ford and they'll change it for you
