Why is the license plate on the right and not on the left?

We’ve done it. We’ve now talked about everything possible about the Mav. Hahaha. Good question but I’d counter, what if parallel parking on a 1 way street, no matter which side the plate, one side of parking would be as you mentioned, not towards the street.

I'd trade it for a bumper without a hitch and a centered LP. Even the non hitched ones are right sided. But, doesn't bother me enough to care. I do find it odd they only had 2 pre-drilled holes for the rear plate though. I drilled two more.

It's for load equalization since the fuel filler would otherwise make the rear of the truck lean to the left
