I think there are two āshuddersā that are being confused on this forum as a whole:
1.) Significant jarring and jerking (similar to hitting rumble strips) when the ICE is cold and just kicking in - typically only happens once in a while. Disengaging the accelerator and then reengaging stops the...
It does just fine. Like I said in the video, if I wasnāt so frugal I would have already replaced the tires. I think some better rated all seasons would make this thing an absolute beast in the snow.
Iām at about 6/32 as well at 17k miles. These tires do not perform well in the snow and rain, IMO. Was considering replacing them before winter but will try and get one more season out of them.
waitā¦.
Are you telling me thereās a chance I could play Mario on the infotainment screen?
interestingly enough, I work for a leading global electronics distributor and could possibly obtain such a device š
The whole Maverick ordering process is much like the Kubler Ross Stages of Grief.
It starts out about 30 days post order. Then you ride the wave of grief sometimes repeating, skipping, and sitting stuck in some stages.
But it all ends, eventually. You either ride the wave of confusion, grief...
One thing about dogs (not regarding the seats) is watch them if they have longer nails on any of the inside door panels. Especially on the window ledges. My dog scratched the living heck out of one side panels by just resting her paws on it.
Yeah Iām in NE Ohio - kind of the same situation. We got hit with a hell of an ice storm and I saw the vulnerabilities of the OEMs. Leaning towards the Goodyear Weatherreadys as well due to soy compound that stays grippy in the cold.
What did you go with? Iām considering upgrading my hybrid to either Goodyear Weatherreadys or Scorpion 3 peak rated All Terrains (not the fx4 tires). I agree. 16k on the stock Contis and they really have poor grip now they are around 6/32.
Adding my experience to the list:
December build, 13k miles.Shuddering twice in one week. Happened almost in the exact same spot - cold engine going up a slight incline -15-20 mph, electric to ICE conversion then boom (sounds like hitting rumble strips).
My dealers have been clueless with the...
