  1. Mav seems to use significant cell phone data; how to reduce?

I drive a 2023 Lariat that does not come with Bluetooth feature. To get Bluetooth connected I purchased a 3rd party thumb drive which is connected to the USB port. I use Google Maps via my iPhone 15 all the time and experience zero added data usage! Driving from VA to FL, no data usage!
  2. Did another thing today - 3rd brake light strip installed

Any chance you could let me know who's light strip you purchased which was fully functional including the operation of either the left of right brake and turn signal light on the truck? I tried two different brands and both gave me issues. Providing me with a part number and web address would...
  3. Selling my 2023 back to the dealer

A friend of ours owns a 23 Maverick Hybrid, my son a 2024 Hybrid as well and I own a 2024 Lariat Ecoboost 2.0 L and none of us have any any issues!
  4. Selling my 2023 back to the dealer

One bad apple certainly does not make the whole lot bad. I love mine and certainly would never buy a Toyota, Nissan or Datsun 🤪 truck or sedan or SUV!
  5. Laptop Table

I had one a number of years ago that was anchored to the front bolts of the passenger side seat track rails. The laptop mounting surface was located center right of the center console and held in place with a generous amount of Velcro. Worked great. Check with Amazon, they offer multiple sources.
  6. Trailer view without a trailer?

How about you plug in an electric trailer hitch cover? The system will think you are pulling a trailer.
  7. Disable Gas Saver Feature (Auto Start Stop)?

I am on the same page with you on the engine shutoff feature. You’ll just have to wait until your battery is at a charge level where by your engine will no longer shut off. It took my Maverick about 6 months. The same annoyance I have with the “Collision Alert”, which also cannot be turned off...
  8. Tailgate Light Bar Possible Solution

I just called Putco and they confirmed that they DO NOT OFFER a LED lightbar package which will work on a 2024 Ford Maverick XLT Lariat with Blind Spot Detection!
  9. LED Light Bar

The issue was related to the Blind Spot Warning I have on my Maverick. The wiring harness was not compatible with this additional feature.
  10. LED Light Bar

Has anyone purchased and installed a LED lightbar for a 2024 XLT/Lariat with BSI (Blind Spot Detection System)? I just purchased one and after installation I found that when having the head light selector switch on Auto, the left rear tail light would be off. The only way this tail light would...
  11. Transmission in too high gear at 45 - 55 mph

Well, my 2024 Maverick did not come with an engine cover. When checking my wife’s 2021 Escape engine compartment I noticed that her engine cover would fit my Maverick. Therefore I assumed same engine cover = same tranny. I ended up ordering an engine cover through EBay. When I received it it had...
  12. Aftermarket LED Lightbar install not working properly?

Thanks for the info on the possible Firmware update. I have an appointment next week with the dealer for an oil change and will broach the light bar issue and possible firmware update.
  13. Transmission in too high gear at 45 - 55 mph

Interesting! Thanks for the tip. What I started doing is drive in Low “L” mode. The only problem with that is that after a full stop it will stay in the lowest gear until it reaches 6000 RPM, and only then it will shift to the next higher gear. Not a good solution.
  14. Aftermarket LED Lightbar install not working properly?

Has anyone experienced an issue with taillights not operating properly after installing an LED tailgate light bar? When my light switch selector is on auto my left tailgate light intermittently turns On/Off. What is strange is that when applying the brakes or initiate left turn signal, that...
  15. Stranded 2025 hybrid AWD XLT! Shifted into Park, error messages, can't do *ANYTHING*

Well my friend, it’s not the dealer’s fault.
  16. Transmission in too high gear at 45 - 55 mph

Well, I learned to drive using standard shift back in the mid 60's. Drove cars, vans and trucks in the Military and it just unnerved me when a driver would shift way to early into a higher gear and almost chocking of the engine. Unfortunately that annoyance after 60 years stayed with me LOL!
  17. Transmission in too high gear at 45 - 55 mph

Well, you are a lucky guy! Resetting the on-board tranny, as you call it, computer module did the trick!
  18. Transmission in too high gear at 45 - 55 mph

Thanks for the tips Dalola and Jason! Well, and as I indicated in my message. my wifes 2023 Escape never did this and it's the exact same transmission. I happen to visit a dealer in Mechancisville, VA and their transmission expert offered to reset the tanny's computer module. As I left the...
  19. Transmission in too high gear at 45 - 55 mph

Has anyone experienced the auto transmission being in too high of a gear when driving on country roads? This started after I had around 6,000 miles on the odometer. When driving on hilly country roads, my XLT might be in the 6th or 7th gear when reaching a speed of approx 40-45 mph, and once I...
  20. Resetting trip 1 only

My guess is that the statement “all values” pertains to Trip 1 only. I reset each tip I gas up and also do a reset on Trip 1. The system never resets Trip 2, unless of course Trip 2 is displayed.
