From the looks of the dash, Ford could have put a small lip on the edge of the flat part of the dash to put things and they wouldn't slide off.
There's a flat storage space behind the infotainment screen.

Not a fan of the fake leather seats. I do like all of the Lariat features minus the seats so I plan on having them reupholstered.

Does anyone know if the backup camera has the predictive lines (the ones on the screen that curve as you back up)? I haven’t seen anything with the backup camera in action.
From the owners manual..

I ordered a lariat with luxury package. My one wish is that I could get the same wheels from the xlt in an 18” version for my lariat. I really am not a big fan of the standard wheels or the ”upgraded option”.

From my readings, some people prefer Active-X over real leather. Active-X is easier to clean, does not crack with age and is more durable than leather. You may want to try the Active-X first before you recover them.

  1. FITS system looks useless and janky unless aftermarket takes off
  2. No AWD on the hybrid but I'll manage. When it snows everything is shut down anyway
  3. Lack of proximity key for XLT. Though I have a proximity key in my Focus and it works half the time everytime 😂
  4. Lack of auto up/down windows on all windows in XLT though not a deal breaker. I again have that in my Focus and will miss it as it's handy.

No AWD hybrid option, and I wish you didn't lose an inch of rear legroom in the hybrid.

Adaptive cruise all models, AWD hybrid, 12v battery under seat instead of in engine bay like 2.0L, non plug-in hybrid, fog lights (can add later)

I guess the biggest disappointment is no satellite radio on the XLT. I have had SiriusXM for years and will miss it. I know I can connect my iPhone and get it through internet but there are areas that I travel with bad cell service. Other than that, I’m happy so far!

I actually like the twist dial gear selector. The stick shifter sometimes gets in my way...

When optioning out, do not like that a change of color changes things that have nothing to do with color. Lack of color choices in general. Lack of an AWD hybrid, seems to be way up there with complaints, as it should. No CC on the XL worked for Ford, I had to upgrade to get it. Ranger is a much nicer looking vehicle, but larger and no hybrid, so stuck with the Maverick ugly front end. Would much prefer the std low end XL wheels, but forced to get the ones I do not care for. BUT, overall, I think Ford still has a winner here. Hope the old adages of never buying a first year model, or buying sight unseen, do not come true. It will take so long to get mine though, that many of you will have tested things out, and I would still have time to cancel.

Lack of cruise control on the XL model, even as an optional feature. Standard keyless fob on the Lariat model. Those two things keep me squarely in the XLT range, but I don't like the blue/white interior! Ugh.

I love the blue/grey interior! But I wanted the other features only available in the Lariat package
