I have been with State Farm my whole driving career. Never had an issue until this year. No accidents or anything and they wanted 2450 for the year to insure my 25 Lariat. Absolutely crazy.

I've heard good things about Progressive so I got a quote from them. 750 for 6 months with better coverage. The agents I spoke with were much more helpful than State Farm as well. I was very happy to switch.

Sorry, forgot to mention that these numbers are based on monthly payments.
My 2025 Hybrid Lariat Maverick plus my 2016 Mazda CX 5 combined come to $271 per month. Those numbers seem high given the insurance on the Maverick is less than the CX 5.

I am in Canada and those numbers are CND $

I live in Idaho and have a 2024 Maverick. I have State Farm and no accidents or tickets. For full coverage I pay $662.00 per YEAR. I do get a discount for having my home and two other vehicles insured with State Farm.
Something seems wrong in your case. Bad record, expensive state or corrupt agent 🤔.

Hello,,
I am very close on closing on a 2025 Maverick and checked with State Farm about the insurance of a 2025 Maverick XL, AWD, Hybrid. Almost fell out of my chair when I received the quote. It was originally $ 284.77 and it was then reduced to $ 212.68 which is still very very expensive.
On my current policy with 2 cars (2018 Passat and a 1990 LS400) plus two motorcycles I pay less than that - also with the same State Farm agent. Of course they sent me the typical excuse about all of the safety features cost replacement etc.

Was wondering if this is a general issue with the Maverick or if State Farm is trying to take advantage of the situation? Would be interesting to know who much you guys pay on full coverage and a $ 500.00 deductible?

Thanks,
Mario
I got my 2025 Hybrid AWD XLT in January, which replaced a 2016 VW Golf Sportwagen. My rate went from $533.55/6 months to $379.68. I asked the agent and he said "newer cars are safer". State Farm, who also do my homeowners (Vermont). I am 71, wife is 65, both with clean records, retired, no commute, so low miles.

I think the problem with this thread is I said mine was 1263, but I renew in 4 months so it will probably go up. I think it depends on did you just renew after the t words went into effect, because now the insurance is going to say it's going to cost more to fix everything. States are different because I know in Michigan we have to pay so much per car for some catastrophic junk. You know there are so many variables that it's really hard to compare insurance rates.

I think that sounds really high. I just got my 2025 XLT hybrid. I also have KYFB. Mine is $533.40 for 6 months. So only $88 a month. We have out home and 3 autos with them. I also have to have crazy high coverages because I use mine primarily for work. I’d certainly check around or call your agent and tell them there must be an error. I live in Kentucky for what it’s worth

I pay $66 / month through Progressive with pretty high coverage limits (100/300K, 100K property), and $1k comprehensive deductibles.

Had been paying around $50 / month through State Farm for the same coverage on a Prius C that was worth maybe 40% of this vehicle, but State Farm quoted like $120 / month to insure the Maverick.

The first quote I got from Progressive was actually $52 / month when I was car shopping and trying to figure out if I could really afford a new vehicle. AFTER committing though, they bumped it up $5 / month for a glass claim with Geico 4 years ago, then another couple of bucks on my first renewal because there was a "one time" discount on the first term.

I hate insurance companies and constantly playing the switching game, but am glad I don't live in a state like Florida or Texas where rates are at least 3x higher.

$412.85 over six months ($68.81 per month) on my Maverick with State Farm.

Full coverage with $1,000 deductible including uninsured motorist.

I insure three vehicles (with a teenage female driver), two term life policies, an umbrella, homeowners, and a hospital stipend. Excluding the homeowners, I only pay $354 per month.

Man I am getting destroyed. 1175/6mo at 100/100 with a 500 deductible. Around $200 a month for my 22 Maverick and my 98 Ranger that only has liability. I keep quoting and it only keeps going up. I can only hope my insurance rates tank by the time I hit 30.

Seems that location makes a huge difference. Living in Houston does definitely not help with low insurance.
It’s definitely your young driver and her previous accident.

You kids and your phones. Get in your truck and drive over to your agents office, and have them look at in-person.

Or get a different agent. When my wife had her accident, despite the other driver being at fault and having some hole-in-the-wall insurance company, my agent still helped us get paid. First thing they did was give us the actual contact number for the claims office that the other company doesn't list publicly.

I pay about $100/month for my '23 XL FWD. State Farm, only vehicle, discount for homeowner's policy and accident free, no tickets. $200 deductible, zero windshield deductible, road hazard, towing, rental coverage. NW Arkansas. Location often makes a huge difference.

Situations vary, but AmFam thru Costco gave me a quote of $480 a year for my upcoming 2025 Maverick Lariat Hybrid, $100 deductible, full coverage. But we do have multiple vehicles and a house with them as well.
