Very expensive to insure the Maverick

Be aware the quick quotes rarely include driving records that would impact that amount.
They just aren't going to pay for that data pull yet.

I am very close on closing on a 2025 Maverick and checked with State Farm about the insurance of a 2025 Maverick XL, AWD, Hybrid. Almost fell out of my chair when I received the quote. It was originally $ 284.77 and it was then reduced to $ 212.68 which is still very very expensive.
On my current policy with 2 cars (2018 Passat and a 1990 LS400) plus two motorcycles I pay less than that - also with the same State Farm agent. Of course they sent me the typical excuse about all of the safety features cost replacement etc.

Was wondering if this is a general issue with the Maverick or if State Farm is trying to take advantage of the situation? Would be interesting to know who much you guys pay on full coverage and a $ 500.00 deductible?

My insurance went up by ~$60/month when I swapped from my previous vehicle (2016 Subaru Forester) to my 2025 Maverick, but that was mostly because I increased the coverage by a bit and added on Rental Car coverage (providing a rental if needed after a collision).

All in all, mine did not increase significantly. Currently have two vehicles insured with decent coverage for only a total of $180/mo. This is with Esurance, which I have been using for well over a decade.

Well your in TX maybe its more . In NY at Gieco I have 6 month policy at $582. 300-300 liability. 500 deductible on collision. I take defense driver course every 3 years. So mine per month is $97.

Many factors vary it. Age, driving record. Area you live in. Mileage per year driven . Me about 10 to 11 K a year.

Have you tried Fords insurance. Mine dropped from 200+ to 98 with better coverage.

My insurance just went up form around $1300 a year to $2600. I looked at AAA insurance and it was more expensive. Every other car I own, the insurance went up around $500.


My Corvette insurance went down $600. I changed it to Hagerty Collector Insurance.

Unfortunately, our 19-year-old daughter had an accident about 2 years ago. But our insurance did not go up after that.

I also have a 19 year old daughter on my policy with her own car, and I'm paying 98 a month for my 2024 XLT with State Farm in Texas

Beg to differ....as SEVERAL of us on here are only paying 95 - 100 a month. You don't think 212.68 a month is "No more" or "Less". That's pretty dang high if ask me. For a Maverick????

Same here, the Lobo is a pricey little car to insure and costs more than our 2020 Explorer ST. Had to switch our cars from Statefarm to Allstate because Statefarm doesn't offer Gap insurance and I will never finance a new car without Gap insurance ever again... The dealer offered Gap insurance but it was way too pricey. Allstate is cheaper than Statefarm with Gap included.

I pay $665 for the year for the Maverick with a $500 deductible, $100 glass deductible, $1m bodily injury and $100k property damage along with roadside assistance and rental car assistance.
