UPDATE: I took my (hybrid) truck in for the software update regarding the grabby brakes. I noticed that afterwards, the 12V outlets STAYED live after I turned the truck off. I haven't tested to see how long it took, but at least 5-10min. I was only running a small LED and there was no low-battery indication by the truck either.

Note: Previously the ports would turn off immediately. This seemed common amongst the hybrid owners and the theory was that this was a safety measure since the hybrids have a smaller 12V battery.

Has anyone looked to see if there is a way to make the 12v system (especially the pigtails) become energized for a while after you unlock the truck that is not running?
I would love this. Didn't realize until AFTER I installed my bed lights that the 12v outlets won't power on with key fob lock/unlock. Lame. If I knew, I would have just went with a rechargeable magnet / stickon setup.

I’m in the same exact boat. Just finished installing bed lights via pigtails and didn’t realize they wouldn’t turn on with the key fob unlock.

Yeah - quite annoying.
I thought about installing UPS (uninterrupted power supply) - as they make 12v ones for routers/modems. But that would more than double the cost and no guarantee it would work well (lots of mixed reviews on those).
So I ordered a headlamp/flashlight that has a magnetic base and will make do with that whenever the lights have timed out. If we're unloading lots of stuff or in the bed area a while, I'll have to go turn the truck on basically.

You definitely need some kind of trickle charging battery system, Bluetti, Anker etc. Deep sleep can (and will) kill everything except the door locks and OBD2 power. The OP's forscan mod failed because deep sleep protects battery voltage and run time. Several things are on a 40 min timer but even with that they will shut down if the current draw is too high or the battery falls to 11.8v.

I cringe at the thought of this tiny battery powering accessories for hours. I set the power point timeout to 10 seconds from 4500. I want to be able to drive home on a battery near end of life, not power my dash cam for an hour needlessly. Loving Forscan so far. Wish I had this for my Hondas.

I want to use this to turn mine off immediately. Brand new vehicle manufacturered in November and yesterday got a battery level warning when trying to remote start with no high draw accessories plugged in but somehow draining the battery.

A bit confused after reading all the comments. I have an Ecoboost and actually want to turn off all of the interior 12v and accessory outlets like the usb-c and usb-a as soon as the engine and ignition are off. Can I change to code to a 0" timer and make that happen?

replying to my own to say 0 didn't work for some reason, but you can go as low as 1 second. It won't start the countdown until you open the door though. So if you turn off the truck but sit in it awhile that is under a different time I haven't found yet, but as soon as you open the door to get out the second timer will start and turn off accessories/outlets as soon as the time is satisfied based on what you set it. I settled on 10 seconds since I have the radar detector and a occasionally a couple small electronics powering down

I needed to have my interior 12v outlets remain powered for some low-draw LED emergency lights that I sometimes use when my vehicle is not running. I tried finding a hardware solution via jumping wires in the fuse panel but instead found a Forscan solution. Initially, I was going to disable the timer, but on second thought, I changed the variable to 10 hours. This way, I shouldn't kill my battery if there is something plugged in with a parasitic draw.

I have confirmed that this will override the timer past the default time, but I haven't waited the entire 10 hours yet to see if it cuts off at 36,000 seconds. Interestingly, I was sitting in the vehicle at the 15-minute mark and heard the "click" when the sockets would have turned off, but they remained on.

[ UPDATE: I have confirmed this setting change affects all power outlets (interior 12v and USB, USB-C, and both external pigtails. ]

I need some direction in getting to this screen as I'd like to set the Power Point Timeout to a higher value on my hybrid. I'm not computer illiterate, but am hesitant to push buttons and make unwanted changes.
