Out of the 2 Fords I've purchased at different dealers, with the competent dealership (Grainger), I had my points within just a few days. With the incompetent dealership (Mullinax), I had to call the 800 number after waiting a couple of months. Nothing went smoothly with Mullinax and...
For anyone interested, they don't need to unmount the tire to swap the sensors. They just need to break the bead. My local Discount Tire charged $8 per tire to move mine over to a new set of tires. My understanding is some shops will try to charge more and some even do it for free.
I think you are going to have a difficult time getting that fixed under warranty. They are going to blame the vinyl. Who’s to say the installer didn’t have to remove (improperly) and re-do during the initial install? Good luck!
My daughter has been using one of these since they came out a few years ago. The non-replaceable cable kinda sucks and it can be finicky sometimes. I recall an Android OS update a few years ago borked it for a few months. It still works though.
If I were buying one today, I'd probably buy...
No clutch to wear out on the AC. No starter or alternator to wear out. Every ICE vehicle I've kept for 10 years, all 3 of these things will wear out. I guess it just depends on how much you drive though.
Bronco Sport alloys with new tires are dirt cheap in Florida. Seriously, I sold my steelies with the tires for more than I paid for my Bronco Sport 18s with better Michelin tires. They look and ride so much better than the steelies with the Continentals.
This is the first truck I've owned since our 1990 Isuzu pickup. I love having a truck again. I've already been able to haul a bunch of stuff for one of my kids who was moving into a new home and I was at a Costco that was blowing out some display washing machines super cheap. I was able to...
The Lomax Tri-Fold is designed to be easily removed. For all these suggestions you are getting, I'd try to find some pictures of them after a few years of use. A lot of them don't age so well or hold up to a hail storm. Do you get hail storms in Zimbabwe?:teehee:
If you buy a name brand one, hit Luke up for a quote, [email protected] . For me, his price was ~$200 better than the manufacturer's own sale price and he doesn't charge out-of-state sales tax.
Move your OEM sensors over to the new wheels. Discount tire is all over the place on pricing, but my local DT first told me that it was included with the lifetime rotate and balance that I purchased, but then told me it was $8 per tire, so $32 total. Some DTs try to charge ~$25 per tire. Some...
I can say that I've noticed more than a few times when I've had my hands full, I will I had push-button start. I don't $2K+ wish I had it, but it would be nice. And for the second time now, I've bought nice OEM alloy rims with fresh tires for less than I ended up selling my steelies + tires.
I typically don't use cruise control, but I was sure glad to have it driving back from Grainger. Rolling hills make it a pain in the a** to maintain speed without it.
Just a heads up to anyone in the area looking for one. He's got it listed at a good price IMO.
