Not much help right now but am sure some aftermarket people will make the receiver hitch and the pigtail to harness for the 4 pin and prices should drop.

Ouch! That hurt! A reminder that for only a $100 option I could have a trailer hitch on my Maverick. I bought off the lot and no hitch, so I get to spend about $400 for hitch and wiring.
Does this answer your question?...
Thanks for the useful info. I just ordered mine for $259.25. The 20% code was invalid, but FORD15 saved me $45.75. I could not find the harness or plug clip, but I will be watching this forum for tips and updates!Hey All, FYI I just went to the Ford Accessories site, and I was able to order the tow hitch with the part number, and importantly it does not show out of stock and it did not automatically add the labor cost to the order. https://accessories.ford.com/products/maverick-2022-2-trailer-hitch-receiver
With the 20% discount code (FORDXKOH) provided in a separate post by @Powered-by-Ford , I got it for $244 plus $7.95 shipping to my home. I jumped on it, not wanting to risk these sell out and constraints happen. Fingers crossed!! My intent is to install this myself as Im pretty mechanically inclined.
Thx @RonR1959 for posting he had received his which got me searching again!
FYI All - Went to Dealership today. The part number on this image is an "engineering part number", which is why @Johnkn shared it does not come up in searches. According to what the parts guy at my local Ford dealer was able to see in the parts system (he showed me the cross reference on his screen), the proper "parts and accessories number" is NZ6Z15436A, which then comes up in Google searches as a part that is used on the Maverick, as well as many other Ford vehicles. If you read the description, it mentions "splice" so it doesnt sound like it's just plugging in like a male-female connector. There you go

I cannot believe that they charge only $7.95 to deliver. That makes as much sense as charging $100 for the receiver option. Oh well, don't tell Ford. Good luck with the installation and thanks for sharing. My Tow Hitch arrived on Sunday. Here are some pics. BTW it did come with bolts and installation instructions...When install it, I'll start a separate post on it.
Ok, my receiver arrived with a bag of 8 bolts and "Instructions". Step 1: an eyeball, a book, and a bumper magically being removed. WTH does that mean? So much for an easy install. My Tow Hitch arrived on Sunday. Here are some pics. BTW it did come with bolts and installation instructions...When install it, I'll start a separate post on it.
.Why not just install it yourself? It’s likely 4 bolts into existing holes on the frame. Did the receiver hitch come with mounting hardware?
Also, the 4pin pigtail likely plugs into an existing connector under the bumper. Perhaps someone with a factory installed hitch could provide a pic of that connection.
Good luck..
.
LOL........If the weather is accommodating this weekend here in Colorado, I am planning to give the install of the tow hitch a shot on my own. Fortunately I got a neighbor across the street for a lifeline if needed. @Tundra2Maverick(?) I'm gonna guess that outside of removing bolts and a little tugging, it simple but tedious. I'll make sure to post my efforts if I attempt it.Ok, my receiver arrived with a bag of 8 bolts and "Instructions". Step 1: an eyeball, a book, and a bumper magically being removed. Good luck. Aside from the bumper removal and reinstall, the receiver installation appears to be very simple, 4 bolts on each side. Once the bumper is off, you just remove the crash bar and replace it with the receiver crash bar. Now I see why it is such a cheap factory option. The bumper removal worries me because of all of the clips and sensors(?). I will watch for your post on Monday!LOL........If the weather is accommodating this weekend here in Colorado, I am planning to give the install of the tow hitch a shot on my own.
