Groan on slow turns started at 5k, never got worse. Took it in at 50k before warranty ran out. Ford told dealer to do a drain on rear diff. before ripping it out. Fresh fluid took care of the noise.
quite the coincidence. Got a call from dealer, Ford is instructing them to do a drain/fill on the rear diff. before doing a full re/re. going in next week.
no correlation. flat tow 1800 lb miata , 5x/year, 3-400 km round trip.. noise started around 5000 km's,(well before track season, got truck in November) never got worse. now at 80 000 km's. was shocked when told rear diff. bringing it in around January, will update then.
update. 82 000 km/ 50 000 ish miles.
-lifetime mpg 26
-OEM tires done.
-repairs. started around 3k, never got worse. low speed groaning noise, much more severe from cold start, low speed right turns, less so on lefts. me and everyone who listened, including ford tech, assumed RF CV...
identical symptoms here except me/everyone else including dealer tech, . assumed it was RF CV joint. finally took into dealership. rear diff is being changed.
Have the same issue since almost new. Never bothered to take it in as it did not get worse. My thought, it's probably the RF CV joint. Started at around 5K, truck now at 45K (75K km's)
Even though truck is bone stock and still under warranty, I refuse to take it in unless it's literally...

I've had 5 ridgelines (I think, lol) nothing wrong with them, just a bit bigger/better than the maverick at everything.. I chose the xl ecoboost because it was 90% of what the ridgeline offered at almost 50% off the price. buying used, has other issues which you're obviously intelligent...
