If I bought a all aluminum one it would be lighter but so would my wallet. :)
I don't know the builder since I bought it used but has a steel frame with aluminum runners & fenders plus torsion bar suspension so the trailer's rear drops down to 4-6 inches off the ground as soon as the cars...

After 6 months since I last posted about gauges I am comfortable with the 25 gauge cluster but not my favorite and thats ok. Sorta like the dial shifter, once used to it I am fine with it.
For me the info screen and sec 4 makes a positive difference and much easier to read and use even with...
Had I known there would be upgrade kits I might of kept my 22 XLT and bought one but I am a non tech guy so would also need someone to install the kit which I would of been happy to pay for.
Instead I sold the 22 and bought a 25 Lariat but it did cost me an additional $9k to get sync 4 plus...
Sure, I don't need or want AWD and originally ordered my first Maverick with the 2.0, 4k but after production started Ford told me I required AWD to keep 4k so the gave me the AWD option for free since mine was already on the order books.
Even today I would buy a FWD 2.0 or theoretical 2.5 if...

I sold my 22 XLT for...
I don't normally drive off the pavement and never had issues with sand, mud, snow or other debris in that area so feel it's something not "every" Maverick owner needs. Looks like a nice option for those who can benefit from it. :)
A picture would be nice. I doubt a 5x0 trailer's weight is an issue but like a previous post I would be concerned about safety issues like tires lights and safety chains. Hauling the lawn mower should not be a problem but I get the feeling this home made trailer may have other issues.
Agree if...
I have owned 4 Mavericks since Dec of 21 with no complaints other than a lot of recalls on the earlier ones. I recently bought a 25 Lariat but overall I think the XLT is the Best Buy. I like all the extras on the Lariat but in hindsight not sure they are worth the extra money or maybe I am...
