After 8 months Of no word on schedule, Ive lost the excitment of my Oct 2nd order of the rapid red, FE, AWD. I looked at a 2020 Ranger Lariat with 16,000 miles and for the same price as the Maverick. I think the excitement is back and will jump ship?
WHY?
I bought a XLT Hybrid 360 still waiting on my build. Money to be made, wanted trade, enjoying the Maverick and Hybrid fuel prices while I wait. Ranger Not even close.......

I ordered in November. CG Lariat EB, no lux, with 360. I was doing pretty well but did get excited on Apr 14th when I received a build week of 23 May. Since then, I have been moved back three times and am now on June 21st. I am finding the build date moving back is more demoralizing than the previous just waiting. Now I am seeing production dates getting dragged out and delivery taking longer than ever. Ford said they were not going to send out any emails until the build was confirmed. We all bitched about that, but I think they perhaps they should have stuck with that. No news vs bad news? I know, at least I have a build date so why am I whining? Human nature and it really does suck..... and there is more to come!!! Excitement continues to decrease.
Ordered 09/11/2021

Lariat with all the "Stuff" (BAD me for wanting it my way...).

Not a Peep...

For me, it's not the waiting, it's the communication from Ford: and not the dealer but ford Corporate. Looking at these forums and all the customers that are jumping ship... How much worse could it be if Ford just gave all of us the truth; and communicated with the dealers as well...

We are lucky in that we don't really need the truck; it's just my Wife's "Finally first 'Fun Truck'", and I'm so excited that she finally agreed to "Just do it" and order something... Anything.

So for us, we will wait and that's OK... But eventually even we will need to consider our position and decide how much longer.

Ultimatly, I don't compleatly understand this whole supply chain thing.

I know the war in Europe and the remenants of Covid are factors, but ultimatly everyone in the supply chain are pointing at everyone else saying "They" are ready to go and are not holding things up.

At the same time, I am seeing MANY more South Korean auto's that by comparision don't seem to be having any problems getting built ands delivered.

I am a proud American, but it's almost as if the good ol USA, forgot how to actually make something here at home.

Yeah the 05 explorer gets like 12 mpg average. Not gonna miss that.
Holy ouch! that's bad. My 73 Caddy with a 7.7L V-8 gets better than that with the A/C on.

I think it might have a small vacuum leak but if it does, it's not bad. Otherwise it runs good and I just use it for a 10 min commute to work so it isn't bad.

I think August is when the orders really started flying. I ordered my Hybrid XLT in late August, like Aug 25 or so.... and I received mine May 31. I think there was a huge difference between early August and late August.
As for the mental aspect of handling the wait, I just told myself after a few months that you know what, if I ever get it, I'll believe it. But part of me figured it's just too good to be true, and good things don't happen for me and bla bla bla....
Well then it showed up and it's been great and it's weird to say this but my whole attitude about life has improved because of it. I'm on a high.
Like when Ohio State wins a national championship, I feel good for about a month!
I ordered hybrid XLT - LUX 8/27/2021 had a vin just before may. Now I have build week of 7/25/2022. So MAYBE I will have my truck on its one year ordering anniversary?

Any day now, right? I didn't order the LUX package, maybe that's why I got mine a few weeks before you?

I feel the same and only ordered 4 months ago. I sold my leased 2019 Ranger to my dealer to capture the positive equity and now share a car with my wife as I wait for the Maverick. I will say that the Maverick definitely felt like it had more interior space than the Ranger as odd as that may seem. Keep us posted and good luck!

Ordered in december 2021. Still excited. Nothing else out there new fits my needs at the price this thing is at. I sat in one, its waaay bigger than the 2008 Chevy HHR I am driving now. I check my emails daily, have not lost the excitement one bit. I even have a small collection of goodies going right on as soon as i get it home.

60TH!?

Woah, that's awesome.

Ordered my XLT Hybred with Lux and 360 last August and just got email yesterday that it's been built 6 - 1 and will be loaded up this week. Delivery should be around July 7th thru the 17th. Hoping for around the 7th since that will be our 60th wedding anniversary. Excited in every way possible.

I ordered a XLT lux on 7/21 and haven’t received a build date. Still looking forward to getting it but quit contacting dealer and Ford customer service a few weeks ago. Just decided to wait until it actually arrives and will get excited then. Weird thing is that I usually trade cars every two years and start thinking about the “next” car after 1 to 1.5 years. Getting a nagging feeling it’s time to start thinking about trading the Maverick! Feels like I’ve sort of had it for a year already!
I special order what I want, then buy them new, maintain them well since I am a mechanic by trade and go above and beyond what the average owner does, then I keep them a very long time. My 1994 chevy silverado i special ordered with a 350 V8 5 speed I still drive at least 1 to 2 times a week to work. That's 28 years I have had it. I still enjoy it.

My 2007 mustang GT 4.6 V8 5 speed I special ordered and drive as a fun car. I still have it.

My 2008 HHR 5 speed daily driver I have had 14 years and it's my regular daily driver. I will be replacing this one with the XLT maverick with AWD and 4K tow pack. I may keep the HHR as a spare beater for really crappy weather, or if anybody in my family needs to borrow it. It's only going to cost me $200 per year to keep it insured

The Maverick will primarily be my wife’s car. She recently retired. Before that she had an 80 mile round trip commute. Miles rolled up quickly and we got in the routine of trading about every 2 years. Kind of became a habit. On the other hand, I’ve had a 2010 F150 and a 1990 Mazda Miata that have lived here forever. I have a feeling the F150 will be replaced after the Mav arrives.

I was worried about the LUX pkg so on 10/26/2021 I ordered another one area 51 without the Lux pkg but did add the 4 pin receiver and the 400 watt inverter. I have NOT heard anything on it. This extra maverick ordered has me receiving lots of attention from the kids🥰! About the time I ordered this one was the time there was a feeding frenzy ordering from the November announcement.

I’m not really saying I’m losing interest but I will say it’s getting embarrassing. People keep asking me if I have it yet and they pretty much laugh or shake their head. Ford is becoming a never ending joke.
