After 8 months Of no word on schedule, Ive lost the excitment of my Oct 2nd order of the rapid red, FE, AWD. I looked at a 2020 Ranger Lariat with 16,000 miles and for the same price as the Maverick. I think the excitement is back and will jump ship?
I've been waiting since Aug.2 and only have a confirmation. And who's to say the dealer will honor MSRP price? Yes, I'm getting fatigued too!

My next choice was a Mazda CX-30. I started calling Mazda dealers and was playing the "inventory info on our website is inaccurate" game with a few of them when I received notice that my Maverick had shipped. My advice is to start talking to other dealers to remind yourself of why it's worth waiting. Or, conversely, you could find an acceptable alternative if you're lucky.

I ordered at the end of october and the excitement is definitely gone. I will grind it out though - it still suits my needs better than anything else. Hopefully there will be an excitement bump when it's finally delivered.

In the mean time I am scratching the itch with an old explorer that's keeping me busy wrenching. Funny thing is. after driving that for the last 2 months I think I really like a bigger, more comfortable vehicle.
Until you have to put fuel in it! Then you will get some excitement back for your future Maverick.

Yeah the 05 explorer gets like 12 mpg average. Not gonna miss that.

I feel that un-excitement LOL! I ordered my Hybrid Lariat 11/11/21...still no build date (although I heard they don't even send those anymore). My 2008 Ranger has lasted longer than expected....starting to look at other Brands with all the $$ I've been saving for down payment... Life-long Ford guy READY TO GIVE UP. NO communication from Dealership-I just drop by in person ebery few months to aggravate them!

HOLD!. . .I ordered oct 25th XLT Hybrid Lux. Heard from dealer around Feb March asking if I wanted to drop Lux to get sooner. I said No. I followed up at beginning of May and dealer said I was scheduled for production. . .I waited until Jun 1 and contacted dealer they said showing built but not shipped. On Friday dealer said they had my truck.

So there you go. . . I sat in it Friday and it was worth the wait. The Lux was worth it and so was the hybrid. I'll get it next week crazy excited.

The wait is hard but a sweet ride and worth it. There is nothing like the Maverick on the road.

I really liked my 20 Ranger but like a lot fo us I got the Maverick "lovin feeling" so sold it and brought home my Maverick in Dec 2021. Great little truck, since I got the 2.0 gas mileage was not paramount but as fuel prices creep up its def a benefit. Having said that if the new Ranger model comes out with a single cab I might sell the Maverick and buy one. I still like the old school single cab short bed pickups but they are a dying breed since few manufacturers sell many here.

I think you will be happy with a 20 Ranger and mileage isn't bad.
I've always liked the single cab. Being single when I last had a truck, and being single again, the back seat is just another place for junk and another place I have to clean.

I think that's what I'm feeling, I'm excited to get the truck, making the specs I want, rather than going on a lot and getting what is in stock, but I'm feeling fatigued about thinking about it, when will I get it, will I like it, all that week after week is draining and tiring.

The key is to not get excited. I ordered and have mostly not thought about it. I occasionally hop on to the forum to check Granger allocations. Someday I'll get my email. Until then, my Jeep and trailer suit my needs.

Don't give up! You will love your Maverick! I ordered my XLT 2.0 on Sept 11, 2021 and arrived March 17, 2022. I had no constraints on mine as I added bed liner and roll up cover after delivery. I am glad, it was well worth the wait.

Ordered my XLT Hybred with Lux and 360 last August and just got email yesterday that it's been built 6 - 1 and will be loaded up this week. Delivery should be around July 7th thru the 17th. Hoping for around the 7th since that will be our 60th wedding anniversary. Excited in every way possible.

I've lost the feeling to ordered Aug 26, in production may 4, built may 25 and been awaiting shipping since. Got VIN in April figured I would have it by Memorial day. Have gotten nothing from my dealer or Ford unless I call them than I think they're blowing smoke up you know where. Never been a Ford guy and this isn't giving me a warm fuzzy feeling.

I know that was my thinking. The car market used and new is so screwy right now I'm happy I only waited 4 months for my Maverick. Could've been worse and i would've just dealt with it. Because the other options weren't cars I wanted and used was a nightmare of overpriced trash.
