I had them too tight
Haven’t popped out in atleast two year

Unfortunately it's seems there are quite a few issues, minor to major, it's hard to mentally log each. Not sure what you're insinuating, I had an issue, I asked for help/others experience. If you don't have anything positive to contribute, you can move along elsewhere. Plenty of snark in the world chief, don't need yours on top of it.Amazing the reaction to a well-known TSB: I may need to go through and check for other common stuff and post...![]()
looks like plenty of replies to you but thought I would mention I had the same issue, I mentioned it when I took it in and dropped off for an oil change and they said it would be a several month wait because it was considered 'electrical'. Thankfully evidently someone looked at it before I picked it back up and it was intact and has not come out again.I'm having an issue on my passenger rear tail light. The front portion pops out and leaves this half inch gap. I can push it and pop it back in but it's a temporary solution and it'll eventually pop back out. When you take the tail light out, there are 2 posts that pop into a couple of grommets and then 2 bolts that bolt in, in the bed. I've tried tightening those bolts but that caused it to pop out even more from the additioinal tension of tightening the bolts.
Anyone else had this issue? Are the grommets worn out that those 2 posts sit in? Everything looks find when I look at them, but that's just as far as I can tell. I thought about taking off the other tail light to see how it is in there, but was was worried I may cause the same issue to start. I thought better of it. I wonder if you can buy replacement grommets if they are worn?
Anyone got an idea?
Thanks.

I apologize -wasn't tryin to be snarky - I had posted this TSB when came out, forgot we have newer people and people who aren't on daily...Enjoy your truck...Unfortunately it's seems there are quite a few issues, minor to major, it's hard to mentally log each. I did throw some shrink wrap on them. They definitely were noticeably more snug/slightly harder to push in. I bolted them down just enough that nothing was loose.
I'll keep an eye on it and let ya'll know of it still happens.
Good deal. I have used that trick before. A lot of body work on sports bikes is post and grommet and the connection gets loose after a while and the parts vibrate. Easy fix.Unfortunately it's seems there are quite a few issues, minor to major, it's hard to mentally log each. Not sure what you're insinuating, I had an issue, I asked for help/others experience. Do not overtighten those two bolts. Just tight enough to keep it in place. Too tight and it will pop out on thar front side as you drive around.I'm having an issue on my passenger rear tail light. Instead of 3M tape I used some old garden hose rubber gaskets/washers (the ones you put between the hose and the spray attachment) and did not tighten the mounting bolts very tight. Been working for over a year. I have a 22 Maverick. This seems like the easiest/most cost effective route. Those retaining nut/grommets the pegs insert into are $17.85 a pack. So almost $40 to fix. Versus some 3M tape.

see this thread, there's part numbers and amazon link to replace the white and black grometsAny updates?
Keeping bolts loose has worked so far for me, but I'd like to keep it a little tighter!
That bottom review is mine. Maybe I was a little harsh but I was angry that I destroyed the factory grommets by removing them and then the cheap Amazon replacements didn't capture the pins on the tail light assembly at all. It actually made it worse.I found the grommet portions so far. Haven't found the pegs. Still looking.
White Grommet
Black Grommet
I'll let you know if I find the pegs.
Below is the reviews on the white pegs.
2 good, 1 terrible lol.
I may roll the dice.
