I just called the dealership I got the truck at and they sounded as if they had no clue what I was talking about. Transfered me to the body/collision shop as it "sounded like a body issue", they told me to stop by and they'll take a look at it. So, that's where I'm at.

I also found this on Ford OEM parts: Comes out to $62.22 per tail light. So over $120 for the set. So still a bit steep. I think I'm going to get a quote from the Dealer/see if its covered in my extended warranty. If not. I'll probably just 3M tape it and call it a day.

I found the grommet portions so far. Haven't found the pegs. Still looking. White Grommet Black Grommet I'll let you know if I find the pegs. Below is the reviews on the white pegs. 2 good, 1 terrible lol. I may roll the dice.

How in the world can those little posts cost $65 a piece?? Also why did they put 8 of them on there when there's only 2 per tail light? Unreal the way the dealerships operate somedays. I'm curious to have the dealership give me a quote on it and see what they say.

I realized that after I tightened them, thinking that was the issue. Only to realize that caused it to pop out even more. So I backed them off. But they still won't sit in there properly.

I am outside that. I did purchase an additional coverage from Ford lasting another 5 years. Just did that a month ago. I imagine they'd take care of it. Its mainly my not wanting to mess with it. I'll look into fixing it myself more than likely.

Are they the same as recalls?

I think I found some generic options on Amazon for a bit less and I can have them shipped in 2 days. May try those. I really don't want to mess with going to the dealership. I'm sure it'll end up that route, it always does.

This seems like the easiest/most cost effective route. Those retaining nut/grommets the pegs insert into are $17.85 a pack. So almost $40 to fix. Versus some 3M tape.

I'm having an issue on my passenger rear tail light. The front portion pops out and leaves this half inch gap. I can push it and pop it back in but it's a temporary solution and it'll eventually pop back out. When you take the tail light out, there are 2 posts that pop into a couple of grommets...

Haven't been up to Kendallville in a while. I get up to Laotto to hit Country Heritage from time to time. That's about as far north as I go nowadays.
