Swapped out crappy OEM battery for AGM today

Took about 1 hour and a lot cussing removing the under seat partitions. You need to remove the partitions to remove old battery and putting back the new one. It also needed to be removed so you can tighten the screw that holds the battery in place. I will let it sit over night then check forscan tomorrow. Don’t forget to reset bsm with flashing your lights 5x and pumping the brakes 3x.

I think I was actually the first to post an Amazon link to this UPlus battery on this forum early this year, and mine has been 100% trouble free for the past 18k miles. No more random deep sleeps and other nonsense. This UPlus has proven to be a perfectly fine battery.

I trust yours will perform the same way.

Tired of the constant deep sleep /battery saver messages so I’m guessing the oem battery probably near the end of its life. Plus the $118 cost of AGM battery is a no brainer. Hopefully, I won’t be seeing battery messages any more.

Really? That is, in my opinion, foolish. $3,000 loss for a fix that you could have had a mechanic perform for way less.

Did the same with my Prius after about six months. Best update to do with a hybrid system. For some reason this is a problem with stock batteries no matter the manufacturer. Looking at what you have to go through is.... Interesting. Still worth it! All of my battery problems disappeared and the AGM worked great for the next 10 years.

I did mine last week. I have magnetic sockets, so I didn't have to remove all the plastic surround. Took about 15 minutes. No deep sleep messages so far.

Mine came on since I installed the AGM battery. It never did when I had the OEM.

I got my Amazon AGM battery dropped off at my door for a total of $120-

My Ford battery has worked just fine for 18 months, but decided to upgrade anyway...

I was planning to order a trim removal tool kit, to remove the plastic shroud, but decided just to try it by hand.

Didn't have any problems-


The entire job took me about a half hour...
