Good question. And am I right in assuming the electric drive system spins up the ICE when needed ?
If so why did Ford not put a deep cycle marine battery in the Mavbrid ?

I got my new bandage this morning in my 23Exactly. They use a bandage when surgery is likely needed.
Did you notice any symptoms leading up to the deep sleep issues? Did you check your voltages?Well, after the 3rd visit to my Ford dealer with deep sleep issues and the battery never holding a charge, they said the battery was bad this time! Just wanted to verify that this is indeed an AGM battery. My original battery also had AGM on it, but not as BIG lettering. 2024 XL Hybrid

The initial falls under the 3/36 warranty as a "wear" item. Was the battery replaced still under warranty. Just had a service done and Ford indicated that my 2024 Maverick battery "may require replacement soon". I was under the impression that most batteries had a 48 or 60 month warranty.
A regular battery should be sufficient for the 12v system. The focus on the type of battery doesn't address the problem. There's something deeper.Well, after the 3rd visit to my Ford dealer with deep sleep issues and the battery never holding a charge, they said the battery was bad this time! We had a 1967 Ford F-100. 2 wheel drive 352 ci Cleveland V8. Put 350,000 miles on it. Never repaired and engine or the three on the tree shifted transmission.A regular battery should be sufficient for the 12v system. The focus on the type of battery doesn't address the problem. I miss the simplicity of the older vehicles. My F-100 was honest and basic. Few problems ever but I could diagnose anything easily.
2011 ford edge of my daughter's had same issue. Never was able to find the pesky parasite that was eating the batteriesNo, AGM printed on the battery means Another Goofy Maverick, lol. Good luck! I have the 2025 with the AGM battery and it goes dead all the time in cold weather. Today it was in deep sleep at only 32°F. It was driven 170 miles so it should have been fully charged.
It's not an AGM or lead acid battery issue, the batteries begin life in the hybrid truck normally then the software driven 12v charging system fails to maintain the battery properly which leads to its early demise. The other issue is high power drain at key off pulling the battery charge level down.
My Maverick has bricked at 6v twice after a 54 mile drive home at below 32°F. My dealer blamed it on an OBDII reader and a 12 phone charger. Hogwash! Blatant cowardice to not admit they are clueless on a solution and instead they just blamed the customer.
I believe it's the same garbage engineering that was used on the 2014 Ford Fusion Hybrid that I owned. It eats batteries too. My brother has it now and it's gone dead twice with a 2023 Napa battery to replace the 1-1/2 year old Motorcraft battery that failed. Ford would not honor the 36-month Motorcraft warranted battery they installed and denied having installed it. They somehow even deleted the battery maintenance record from Ford's system.
Just watched the battery charge % keep dropping and then no dome light. I don't drive it that much, so I'm sure that's part of the issue. But it seems kind of stupid to just drive your truck to keep the battery charged. They said it was charged to over 90% when I left the dealer yesterday and it's already down to 84% which is a little concerning!!!!Did you notice any symptoms leading up to the deep sleep issues? Ok so I’ve got 14,100 miles and my 2024 Ecoboost’s AGM is performing admirably considering its usual 60-80% level of charge.Exactly. They use a bandage when surgery is likely needed.
It's when it drops from 85% to 60-65 % in 36-48 hours and down to 45-50% in 48-72 hours that you know there are problems that Ford knows about but hasn't solved.Just watched the battery charge % keep dropping and then no dome light. Yes, it was covered under warrantyWas the battery replaced still under warranty. Just had a service done and Ford indicated that my 2024 Maverick battery "may require replacement soon". I was under the impression that most batteries had a 48 or 60 month warranty.
The 352 in Your 1967 F-100 was an FE engine not a Cleveland!! The 351 Cleveland didn't come out until 1970 and the only Truck they were in was the Ranchero!!We had a 1967 Ford F-100. 2 wheel drive 352 ci Cleveland V8. Put 350,000 miles on it. This I am 100% absolutely correct on. The engine in our truck was built at the Cleveland, Ohio plant. All 1967 Ford F-100 trucks equipped with the 352 cubic inch V8 engine were built at the Cleveland, Ohio engine plant. The 1967 model year also marked the final year for the 352 CID engine in that generation of F-Series trucks. They were built at the Cleveland Engine Plant (Cleveland Foundry). 352s were commonly nickenamed 352 "Cleveland" engines. The 351 engines, that came later, were manufactured at the Windsor, Ontario engine plant, thus they were nicknamed 351 "Windsor" engines. The 352 in Your 1967 F-100 was an FE engine not a Cleveland!! The 352 might have been built at the Cleveland, Ohio plant but it was an FE engine not a Cleveland!! like I said the 351 Cleveland was built at the Cleveland, Ohio plant starting in 1970 and had Canted Valve Cylinder Heads!!This I am 100% absolutely correct on.
