So what's the actual size of the rim that comes with the fake full size tire ? I'm looking to mount a 245/65 on it. Thx

The "fake" full size spare is actually 215/60/17. Your tire might fit the wheel, but I suspect it would ware unevenly if used any length of time.

Not sure that is the “fake full size” he’s talking about; that looks like the temporary spare.

The 17” diameter rim is probably consistent across all truck spares, but the rim for the T155 spare on your image is significantly skinnier than the usual stock rim width. Likewise, that T155 tire is nearly 3” skinnier than the OEM front/rear tires shown.
You are right.

You are correct, my bad on that one. @Waterick has the correct size on the sticker.

Rotate your wheels regularly and use a light sanding around the hub, otherwise you run the risk of having the wheel become tight and impossible to remove when out on the road. No amount of cussing and kicking will solve that issue.
Loosen the lugs a couple turns and drive the truck forward a few feet, that will typically break any corrosion and allow you to remove the wheel.
Of course, prevention is the best cure but we can't win em all.

I still use the old larger "4 way" chrome! Has the four different sizes for when I need to help someone else. Kind of big, but I wrap it in a old clean towel that I can use to sit on or clean up with afterward. Fits fine behind the back seat, standing up against the back wall using a couple small bungee's. I still like these as it keeps me centered on the lug and using both arms is not to hard for this old guy to break them loose.
Those old school wrenches will give you a lot of torque.

I had to take my "$115 full size non-matching Atlas spare" off to get my '24 XLT Hybrid undercoated. The dealer would not do it for me; and they warned that an aftermarket shop doing it could void my warranty. ( don't need that problem a year or more from now).
So, I'm glad I did it myself because it is quite a learning experience and a real PIA. And the blue cone "slit" was facing away from me; took a while to figure how to get that off the cable until I just happened to turn it during the cussing exercise.

I can’t get down under the truck to retrieve the spare and do a roadside tire change due to age and a prosthetic knee. I have two sets of wheels and tires (winter/summer) so I toss one of those in the bed, so all I need to do is jack it up and swap one out. Also having tow insurance helps and I can have the towing company do the job.

Good call out @MetalsGeek , also good to pull it down and check the pressure, and clean / lube the cable.

Side of road changes suck bad enough without also finding either your spare is too low on pressure, or you can't get the cable to lower or raise due to corrosion etc.

ALSO, if you haven't tried to break your lugs loose with the stamped steel garbage wrench that fomoco provided with the truck you are in for a treat - highly recommend you carry something more substantial in your kit..that jack handle wrench is piss poor.
So I should get a spare breaker bar, just for changing the spare. I think I saw somewhere the torque was 100ft/lbs if I remember correctly

The spare rim is the same 17X7 steelie from the XL- Should be fine if its balanced.

Here's what I use. Best tool investment I ever made. Portable, lightweight, only goes to 150#. Makes changing tires/rotating much easier.

This ☝👍🏻
It's cheaper than AAA and you can use any roadside assistance company, which is an advantage in a rural area. Just keep your receipt for insurance reimbursement.

First thing I did is get a matching full size wheel w/TPMS sensor and matching tire and ditched the doughnut Ford provided. A Falken 235/60/R18 fits with a little room to spare. A breaker bar with deep sockets is a good thing to carry also. Good practice for when I need to do it on the road.

Does the outside part of the wheel have to face down? Or is there a way to mount it up to protect it from road debris?
