I just received this Spare Tire Lock from Amazon. It took me about 2 minutes to install. The cable seems very well made and hopefully can prevent theft of the tire.

The junkies will steal anything. We recently moved our office but still had access to the old building because there was some stuff left there. It was in a big old house and there was nobody else in there. A junky broke in, stole all the copper and was actually living in the house sleeping on an old couch when someone from our office went back in and caught him.

It takes a unique combination of desperation and stupidity to do what he did. Now he's facing some hard time and the world is a better place.

I had a spare tire stolen from my work parking lot in 1997, so it's not a new thing. Of course back then the truck came with 5 aluminum wheels.

That is a smart idea I am going to look into getting one thanks for the post i never thought that i had cars before and the tire was in the hatch.

Disagree about "the world is a better place." as he has plenty of 'brothers' remaining.
