I don't even notice the sliding window. The head rests are a bigger pain and since I seldom have rear seat passengers the head rests are stored under the seats.

First thing I do after kissing my Maverick will be to store the rear head rests under the rear seat,The view is better if you ditch those head rests.
Not to sound like everyone's dad here, but they are Head "Restraints" not Head "Rests". If you have rear occupants, please make sure you have them installed. The view is better if you ditch those head rests.
I appreciate your correction. Not to sound like everyone's dad here, but they are Head "Restraints" not Head "Rests". If you have rear occupants, please make sure you have them installed.
If you drive around 99% of the time without rear occupants, then sure, take them off and store them.
However, if you have a rear occupant, it is a "restraint" that reduces whiplash and prohibits the head from hitting the glass first, then causing who knows what kind of impact injury in addition to any debris. They are there as a federal mandated safety item and seats cannot ship without them.
They aren't there just to "rest" your head, they are there for your occupants safety.
Ok, I'll stop preaching now, as I can hear the eye rolls already....ha!

Back in the day when a convertible was cheaper than a hard top the way it should be.I appreciate your correction.
I am on old man and my first new car I purchased when I was 20 yrs. old was a 1966 Corvette. Back in the "old days" they were called headrests. Old habits are hard to break.
