Short answer no. Long answer, Only way to update the ecu is to use Ford's proprietary software. You can rent the software for $50 for the day but I have no idea what hardware you need. Best bet is to get the dealer to update the ecu.

There is a bug with 2021-2022 Ford escapes, bronco sports and mavericks are unable to go into brake service mode unless you use Ford's frds software.

So I tried that plus instructions are crap. Between step 5 and six, how long do you hold? Either way I could not get service mode to engage.
