You are correct that in Auto mode the AC and fan speed lights do not operate to indicate status. My Maverick has the Dual Automatic Temperature Control (DATC) system. I have never 'intentionally' placed it in Auto mode even once since new and if you had asked me if there was an auto mode I would...
At 70+ I have not noted that with the Mav which I find to be quite comfortable. However my longest drives are only about 80 minutes. I have noted stiffness after driving my wife's much lower and much less comfortable Subie on the same trip. The driving position in the Subie aggravates an old...
During a heavy downpour yesterday the vents started blowing cold air in my Ecoboost 4K. Checked the climate panel to see if the A/C had self-activated as it sometimes does on initial startup, however the indicator was not illuminated. It continued to blow cold air until I reached my...
To get to 0 manifold pressure, which we can call full open throttle for a NA engine, you would not be at full open with a turbo. You would be at part and yes, the turbo would be operating to overcome throttle and othe intake restrictions to get to 0 manifold pressure. In this state the engine...
Got Torque Pro, thanks to those in this thread that discussed it as an option. Highest logged boost pressure was 16.5 psi in sport mode 15.7 in normal. Readings above 13 psi are common in normal mode with just moderate acceleration. Really haven't found much need for sport mode, may just be my...
That's assuming that what you are suggesting is that the padding on the back of the seat is protection from or for the arm rest hinge. It's been stated elsewhere in this thread that only the Lariat comes with the padding.
I think I had more fun in that car than any before or after. No doubt my standards have subsequently matured and I probably would no longer have the same level of joy in the driving experience. Unless of course it could also magically restore my youth.
That may be as close to an answer as we're going to get on the subject, failing input from a Ford company representative. So, originally it may have been intended to be an acoustical accoutrement but just happens to also be a perfect first-aid kit storage location. Can we call it case closed?
I googled yes number you gave and found a page with a picture of the $59 kit. It looked to be way thicker (+6") than the pocket on the back of the seat. Included a bunch of stuff including jumper cables which looked like a good fit by itself, without all the other things.
After looking at the kit I'll have to withdraw the winner bell. The road side kit is a little to big to fit, however, the first aid kit looks like it could be the perfect size.

Has anyone ordered the optional kit to verify. If not do we have a volunteer? I'll chip in a dollar to help pay for it (sorry, that's all it's worth to find out for sure).
