Quality control must have decided that rattles are OK on this vehicle as long as they don't cause more than 50db worth of sound while driving.

Now, my front right dash is rattling, front left portion of the dash, something on the left door handle, and something in the back seat is rattling!!!
Time to trade it in!

My rear rattle is back in full force and the front one seems to be getting worse as well. I am now %90 sure the front rattle/clicking has something to do with the fitment of the front windshield or the frame of the vehicle. The clicking is now coming from all around the front windshield while driving on smooth roads that have very little grooves and bumps.

I don’t believe the hood flutter is causing my rattles because my truck never had that issue. Maybe the dealer was aware of that before I took delivery and fixed it without even telling me.

The dealer scratched the hell out of my brand new nano ceramic tints on the rear window while attempting to fix the rear rattle and now I have to get it re tinted and bring the bill back to Ford. I believe the rear rattle is coming from the plastic trim UNDER the rear window and not from the headliner as the Ford technicians thought.
Maybe have them pop out the windshield and reinstall. I had a windshield replaced that wasn't installed correctly and it made the same noise as you described.

I've got a front windshield "click" that's exactly as you describe. As best I can tell it's coming from the driver's side top of the windshield. Even the most minor bumps make the clicking sound happen.

Exactly. Mine started out at the lower corners of the windshield where the dash/a pillars/glass meet but then moved all around the windshield. The clicking is worse when it’s cold outside.

This is a true story. My 2010 Lincoln MKZ developed a rattle in the dash around 60,000 miles. Great little car otherwise. One day I was so fed up with it I drove it straight in a little pot hole near the edge of a highway. This was stupid, yes, I know. However, after no damage to the tire or suspension, guess what? The rattle was gone and never returned.

Yup. Temp dropped here in NC overnight and this morning it was much worse in the cold. Drove over the steep drop coming out of the drive in my neighborhood and it sound like the entire thing clicked at once. That was the loudest I've heard it.

Folks, make sure you're taking your vehicles to the dealer so Ford knows there's a problem. Mine is going in next week.

@Ford Motor Company I need to be added to this. Picked up my XLT EB on 2/18/22. I also have the rattle in the dash.......someplace. Location is Wisconsin and it has been in the single digits and teens. Truck does park in a garage.

I have about 2K miles on my Maverick and also have experienced the strange popping sounds in the front windshield/dash area. It happens much more when it is below 50° F.

I have another noise that occurs, seemingly when it is warmer, that is a buzzing/clicking/rattling type noise. It sounds like it is right in my left ear. I keep thinking it is the seatbelt winder upper on the B pillar.

I expect rattles at this price point. This is after all a disposable cheap daily driver with some practicality. Doubtful I’ll even wash it. Why? I haven’t washed my fusion s once since I bought it.

That's fantastic. Looks like Ford can save some labor costs as a result of you not using your warranty that you paid for.

As for me? Rattles and pops when I'm driving are unacceptable on a new vehicle. Full stop.

I overlook anything except for a major issue powertrain related or something I don’t want to deal with while it’s still under 3/36. Other than that for my daily I just live with whatever

My truck is 35k sticker. I'm not overlooking a popping windshield and a rattling dashboard. It's constant. On every road. On every road condition.

That's a major defect.

If I didn't have to deal with that on my Accord with 200k miles, I'm definitely not dealing with it on a new vehicle. And I highly suggest that others not deal with it, either.

Yeah at 35, I can see being disappointed. That’s quite a lot for a maverick
