Talked to gm, he hasn't heard anything yet about a training unit, I think they had 10 customer orders with 1 scheduled so far, a first edition scheduled for 9/20.

That would be the first FE I have seen scheduled anywhere. Pretty cool, if true.

Ordered the hybrid in late June. Had a 2018 Ranger to trade. The sales manager at Crossroad Ford said the Ranger was then worth $29K in trade (only 4,000 miles on it), but that the value would likely drop by the time my Maverick arrived. So I sold the Ranger at the height of the used car market pricing in the first week of July for $30K. Thinking that was the best decision I could have made, now that trade-in and retail sale prices are decreasing. And no, I have gotten no word on when my Maverick will be built or delivered.

You received very different and favorable treatment from your dealer. Count your blessings! What's really crazy is that when I sold my Ranger, I received that $30K offer from another new car dealer. Before selling, I contacted my Mav dealership to let them know that I'd prefer to sell the Ranger to them (to keep all of my business with them), and all they had to do was match the other dealer's $30K offer. They refused.

I ordered my Lariat Hybrid on 08/05 from Crossroads Ford in Apex. I got the order confirmation later that same day. It was a pretty painless process!

Just heard from my dealer at Crossroad Fuquay-Varina that they've heard back from Ford about the build dates for just 3 of the Mavs that have been ordered thru their dealership. The earliest date was Sept 20. Two of these three Mavs the 2.0L versions.

I reserved there first (online) and after seeing people get their builds confirmed in the second week of June I called and they told me I must be mistaken, the system wasnt open to make orders. I think it may have just been Ford opening the system up unevenly depending on dealership but I don't know. They had good communication at Crossroads Fuquay otherwise, but I called Apex an hour after that conversation to check there too... and they got me confirmed that afternoon on my lunch break lol. Glad I did, got my build scheduled now. Fuquay hit me back two weeks later asking if I wanted to confirm my old reservation but I explained the situation. Honestly it feels like a crapshoot and pure luck to get scheduled so far.

Just as long as a prospective buyers understand that placing a build order for a Mav via a dealership and actually getting a date for when their ordered vehicle will be built at the factory are two different things.

Leith Ford mentioned that there "might be" a Maverick at the Raleigh Convention Center September 10-12th. It didn't seem like they were very sure.

Some of you have probably already figured this out but 09/10-09/12 at the RCC is the NC International Auto Show. Seems like a great place for a Maverick. Unfortunately, the event website doesn’t tell what may be there. The event FB page has a few vehicles mentioned, including the full sized Bronco, but nothing about a Mav. I’ve emailed the contact for the event and asked but I’ll be surprised if they reply at all or if they know if they do.

Kinda surprised we haven’t gotten word of one at any of the dealerships in this area yet.

Same weekend as the big bicycle ride (Bike MS) in New Bern, but if husband does a very fast Sunday ride, and I finish my shift in time, we'll probably make the two hour trip to see it.

Yep, I’d love to go but unless there’s a Mav there, I likely won’t carve my schedule to do it.

I ordered my Maverick June 25th from Capital Ford. Lariat Hybrid Lux package. Still not production date yet.
