  1. Newest Ford special service message on Hybrid 12v Volt Battery Drain Problem

In 2023, I went through the exact same experiences and repair work you did (except for the "pinched wires" part) with my 2022 Lariat hybrid, amounting to 3 full weeks at the dealer. With mine, they had been able to detect and correct the code fault. It's been 99% trouble-free since then. The 1%...

  3. Front end paint protection

All I can offer is this: Installed the Lund bug shield when the Mav was delivered in Feb 2022. Two years and 8400 miles later, not a single chip to be found on the hood. I'm satisfied.
  4. Maverick Hybrid: Fully Loaded Headlamp Adjustment

Meant this reply to go to "inline_five": Hybrids low 30mpg on the highway? Maybe you, depending on how you drive and the topography of where you live. Not me. 38-40mpg on interstate driving. If it's 65 MPH, I do 68. If it's 70MPH, I do 70. Example: Raleigh NC to Charleston SC, all (560 miles...
  5. Hybrid Maverick: Speed vs Fuel Economy -- My Recorded Data & Chart

I'm with you. 8100 miles on my 2022 hybrid. Averaging 45.5mpg. I am always in ECO mode and always very easy on the gas pedal. It's also pretty flat terrain where I live here in North Carolina. I am not sure how others (who are averaging less than 40mpg) are driving their Mavs, but I'll guess...
  6. HOT PEPPER RED Maverick Photos / Club

Just so you know, Hot Pepper Red is usually abbreviated as HPR. "RHP" at first got me confused... :)
  7. HOT PEPPER RED Maverick Photos / Club

You'll love it even more as the days go by....:)
  8. Slippery mode is beneficial

I'm in North Carolina, and except for during heavy rainstorms, I have little need to use Slippery mode. The number of days with slick roads due to ice/frost/snow are minimal. That said, I use Slippery mode for city/surburban driving all the time. It improves MPG over Normal mode, for sure. If...
  9. If they made a full EV Maverick, would you buy, switch? [ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS]

Well, don't ask me, because I have no clue as to why corporate entities aren't doing what you suggest. It almost feels like the petroleum companies don't want to encourage too many people to switch to EVs too quickly.
  10. If they made a full EV Maverick, would you buy, switch? [ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS]

Nope. At this point in time, with charging stations not ubiquitous (like gas stations), I would not go wholly EV. I would, however, love to go with an E-Hybrid model (PHEV) that could run the truck on full electric power for at least the first 50 miles and then switchover to hybrid drive.
  11. Ford family of vehicles complete

Glad to see that Maverick is the BEST Ford color ever!
  12. Hybrid Dead

And so...after having the under-seat battery changed about 4 months ago, and then the wiring harness fixed via the recall some weeks ago, I offer this new update: With my convenience features (interior lighting, lane-change alert, intelligent access door handles) not working properly AGAIN...
  13. Interior lighting and door unlocking problems

Since that Oct 2022 post, the Mav has continued to have lighting, intelligent access, and lane-change alert dysfunctions. Also, have had one deep-dead sleep episode which spurred them to do the wire harness recall work. But now it's back at the dealer for another week. That's a total of 4 weeks...
  14. Hybrid Dead

I have a nice little charger. And if I use it every third day or so, my e-issues will subside--until they return. My issue is this: Why do I have to go through that constant chore with a 2022 vehicle?
  15. Hybrid Dead

No need now. They put in the new wire harness. Now I just have to deal with the Mav's randomly-occurring idiosyncratic e-glitches. On Day 1, everything electronic works fine. On Day 2, the interior dome lighting doesn't work nor does the intelligent door handle access. On Day 3, lane change...
  16. Hybrid Dead

Well, apparently some dealerships can't read. My experience was TWO visits to the dealer service department. The first resulted in them telling me that "corporate" required 22B39 service to be done only on Mavs that had experienced a no-start issue. The second visit happened after I had a...
  17. Hybrid Dead

I feel the same. When asked by people how I like my Mav, I rave about it EXCEPT for the electrical issues I've had and still likely will have (I don't trust its electronics at all). I keep thinking about how my wife pulled into our driveway, came to a stop, and the Mav went totally dead. What if...
  18. Hybrid Dead

I got same "We can't begin the process to address the potential 'dead vehicle' (wiring harness replacement) issue until you actually experience a 'dead vehicle' issue" response from my dealer. That happened about two weeks before mine died. It appears that dealers have their hands tied by Ford...
  19. Hybrid Dead

Well, folks, although the recall work was done (new wiring harness), and even though the 12v battery had already been replaced once before, and even though I had one week free of electrical/battery issues, my Mav has been sitting at the dealer for a week now. Why? It started the same...
