Last follow-up for me I suppose. Honda dealer offered $33k as trade on my $29k truck and I took it. Bought new, drove for four months/4500 miles, and made $4k on it. What a strange world we are living in, lol.
For anyone interested in selling on the middle East coast, I was also offered $33k as...
Man, Iām so close to pulling the trigger on these but Iāll tell you whatās holding me up. In the rare event that something happens to one of these headlights while itās still under warranty, Ford is obviously going to deny the warranty. I know thatās pretty unlikely but I donāt want to be on the...
Got my weekly valuation from Vroom a few moments ago. Dropped from $31k to $26k in a week! I double checked the specs to make sure I hadnāt entered anything wrong but didnāt find anything. Carvana is still at $30k but it says this price is good until Feb 26th. That seems odd. Never seen any of...
I have not sold a vehicle to any of the big car buying companies but from what I have read, as long as youāre honest about your vehicleās condition, what they offer is what you can expect them to purchase it for.
Iām not so sure. I received the offer of $27k from Vroom last week. I got the āyour offer has expiredā¦get a new oneā email yesterday and resubmitted and they just came back at $31k.
I forgot about it but I technically have a third offer. Had it in for service the other day and the Sales Manager offered to buy it back for what I paid for it. Unsolicited.
Been wondering how the temporary order halt will affect supply and demand and valuations. Thought it would be neat to start a running thread. If you get an official offer to buy your truck, tell us about it.
Be sure to include trim level and major options, maybe original MSRP, mileage, general...
In my mind, you kinda do. Ford is taking into account that they will not have to supply you with the standard wheels and tires when they price the "upgraded" wheels and tires at $795. The 235/65/17 Wildpeaks are just under $800 themselves if you buy them from a tire retailer.
Thanks! It's actually a storage building/detached garage/work shop. It is very nice to have and was one of the big reasons we bought our home rather than building one.
Regarding the wheels, I think these wheels make the look of this truck. I am soooo glad I realized they could be ordered...
It actually can compete with the Ranger. It will best the Ranger in a noise level competition, a ride quality competition, an everyday practicality competition, a fuel mileage competition...just to name a few, lol.
I'm just kidding. The purpose of this post wasn't to necessarily place the two...
The Frontier does not belong in your group being body on frame rather than unibody like the other two. That is a huge factor that makes a difference in many facets of the truck.
That being said, I test drove a 20 RL Sport with 6K miles on it for a few days. Seemed like a great truck. Smooth...
@Old Ranchero I've owned a few Rangers over the years myself. I can't even remember them all, lol. Very first pickup was a blue 95 or 96 reg cab short bed 4cyl 5 speed...bulletproof!! I've also had at least one early 2000s regular cab 4x4 V6 and probably my favorite, a 2010 regular cab short bed...
Starting to see a few more around me but still not a lot around here. I think the biggest issue is that the Ranger is a nearly decade old global platform that was adapted for our market.
Agree 100%.
Sup all. Long post alert. But if youāre interested in my situation, youāll read it.
So I just traded my 21 Ranger XLT FX4 with 5K miles for my 22 Mav XLT AWD. Havenāt had it long but I wanted to give my perspective of one versus the other. Itās going to seem like Iām bashing the Ranger. Iām...
That's right. You receive an email at order confirmation, when it is scheduled for a build week, when it is built, when it is shipped, and when it is delivered.
There have been some inconsistencies for trucks with certain options but my build week was 10/04. The Ford site tracker switched to...
@Buschur Thanks for the lengthy and detailed reply. I reread my post and I meant to say what is the difference between vented and sealed...but obviously you knew what I meant, lol.
To make sure I'm understanding correctly...the vented catch can does not return the vapors and oil to the engine...
