Thanks! I sometimes try to park nearby larger trucks just to emphasize how ridiculously large trucks are getting.
But, sometimes, my truck is also a magnet for larger trucks to park beside I am sure to make it look like an RC car... Ha.
This is great information, thank you!
Took mine off last week after reading through this post and paint has been worn down to the metal. What sucks is I also had everything ceramic coated (after the OEM mud flaps were installed). So both of those panels would probably need to be re-coated...
I have the same issue, if not very similar, and my dealership said it was the amp... They said there was a known issue with the amp sending bad feedback to the speaker in the B&O Lariat package. It will make "farting" noises when the doors are opened in the truck and anytime I am walking around...
Also in Raleigh and I beg to differ. My seats are usually sweaty when I wear shorts. I have gotten used to remote starting now, but even perforated seats would have been nice.
Last vehicle had perforated, but not ventilated, seats and it makes a big difference (and they were black).
Same exact model as mine. I wish I could get 48+ mpg over a tank! I have uncharacteristically about 50% highway miles right now, but I just love driving it.
Usually my trips to and from work are in the 50s and sometimes 60s (~7 miles). But my tank usually shakes out to 41 mpg for the trip...
Got 26 bags of 2 cu ft mulch in the bed during a recent trip. Put 4 in the back seat as I did not have adequate straps to get all of it.
Was expecting to be able to fit 37(?) that Ford estimated, but did not think about different size bags. Hauled it like a champ, however. Better than throwing...
They discontinued this service sometime last year. If you already had an order in and let them know very early on that was your intention, they should still honor it. Otherwise, you have to pick it up from their dealership or use an independent shipping service to get it delivered to you.
Ha, I was told that they are not getting the FITS kits for some customers and they would let me know if they got mine. Truck was delivered over a month ago, picked up almost a month ago.
Ended up replacing the hardwire kit and got a new one. Everything is good to go now. Believe it was just a bad crimp job on my part. Should have just snipped those connectors off and used Wago connectors.
So much more convenient to hardwire to the fuse box and have it tucked away.
Now to...
I purchased one of these on April 12th and have not seen anything about the order being shipped, etc. Emailed their customer service a week after ordering and got no response.
My order still says "in progress" and the status is "in stock."
They are pretty dang bright, lights up the entire area in a flood of orange light bright. So bright that I will not leave my blinker on at night if in the turn lane and will turn it on just as my light turns green. Finally got a turn signal to hyperflash inside at a ridiculously long light the...
At least your front passenger door speaker does not scream at you at nearly full volume every time you unlock and open your doors... This happens every few days, for a few days. Goes away and comes back.
Have a service appointment scheduled, but I am sure it will not be doing it once I can...
Just stumbled across your edits. I have another hardwire kit on the way. Probably going to poke around at a few options over the weekend.
It is weird that it happens exactly every other time I turn my car on. And if I disconnect and reconnect the cable going into my dash cam GPS mount, it...
Thanks for the response. I also used that ground. Some people previously mentioned (here or another thread) that they did not trust that as a ground point and wanted to use a point near the passenger door on the frame.
Good to know that your setup is how I have mine. Maybe I just have a bad...
I have a Vantrue X1 that I have used every day for almost 5 years now with few, minor issues. This is the first vehicle I have attempted to hardwire power for it, though. Every other previous application had the dash cam plugged into the auxiliary power outlet.
I ordered their hardwire kit with...
Interesting. I thought Crossroads would say the same thing, but they did it. I also thought about just taking my current car's plate and making the short trip home and hopefully getting Chapman's temp tag the next day.
Yep, agreed. Makes no sense.
Just to clarify, Fred worked at your local dealership and pulled it from their parts department or Fred worked at Chapman and got it for you when you picked it up?
