CrossRoads Ford dealers in North Carolina doing same. Will not be doing business with them. Surprisingly found a few Mavericks for sale at smaller dealership and their selling at msrp. Their getting my business.
Insane. I was testing an XLT demo with the FX4 package, and towing package and the sticker said 28K and change. I sat down with the dealer to see how much my trade would be worth and what not and I could have put the order in right then and there for the same price. I am probably going to go back Monday and put in my order.I thought this price listing was a bit overkill but that's just me thinking about the price. What do you guys think?
i work at a dealer and when it comes to markups, we decided NOT to place any on Mavericks. How it works normally (I don’t know if this is just us but this is how we do it) but we will honor MSRP for the Bronco with an order being picked up by the customer who ordered it, but if that Bronco is NOT picked up by the person who ordered it, that’s when the mark-up takes place. Like I said this is not being done On the Maverick Where we are.I thought this price listing was a bit overkill but that's just me thinking about the price. What do you guys think?
lol....not sure how you pulled off a 350 at invoice, that's a first that I'm aware of. Good for you! I tried to find a big brother 500 at MSRP, and never even got close. Couple dealers said they would, but started adding "other" ridiculous fees.I've bought many cars from Cavalier over the years (at least six). I ordered my Maverick Hybrid XLT from there - X-plan , no problem... Very easy folks to work with, most recent was my 2019 Shelby GT350 @ Invoice and my wife's '21 Explorer ST via X-plan. in and out in about 3hrs.
In the case of the GT350 it had a 10K markup on it. I simply told them I'd purchase @ Invoice, "think about it, you know my number, give me a call if you want to sell..." Low and behold they eventually agreed.
It's all about supply and demand, I can't blame them for asking, it doesn't mean I have to buy it either... You're always free to make a counter-offer. Prices will moderate once the initial thrill/newness fades...Bottom line, the Market speaks!
