We ordered the 2023 Hybrid XL Maverick in September in SC. They will not match the MSRP for the 2024 order The price has increased almost $3000 for the 2024. We have not been scheduled or even received a VIN number.
FYI being scheduled and receiving a VIN number is the same thing. There are tens of thousands of unscheduled 23 Mavericks. You are not alone!

If they tell you ahead of time the deposit is non-refundable, and you give them the deposit, that is your choice.
Not if they are unable to provide the vehicle that was ordered and not in states that protect consumer deposits on vehicles that have not been assigned a VIN. The choice when a 2023 order was DORA'ed was for a 2023 Maverick.

@Twin0521 the price protection refers to the yet to be announced private offer.

"Customers with unscheduled 2023 model-year Maverick orders should contact their existing dealer to submit a 2024 model-year Maverick® order, which will be price protected to match 2023 pricing. Any new content on a 2024 order not included in the original order will be negotiated and priced by their dealer."

If you don't reorder your '23 vehicle with the same dealer using the exact order number as last year you won't get price protection and will have to pay '24 MY prices.

It says nothing about a private offer...it says if it is unscheduled and no changes....Ford will price protect

Customers with unscheduled 2023 model-year Maverick orders should contact their existing dealer to submit a 2024 model-year Maverick® order, which will be price protected to match 2023 pricing. Any new content on a 2024 order not included in the original order will be negotiated and priced by their dealer. We will open the order bank for 2024 Maverick orders on July 17, 2023.

Just looking for clarification on an offer since the build price we are having to sign with the dealership is quite a bit more now...
Multiple ppl have given you clarification lol

No Dealer is going to match the 2023 price on an ordered 2024 model. Don't expect them to.

Down Payment is another outcome. You WILL get that back. There are laws in most states that cover down payments, making them almost useless anyway. More of a mind game.
I tried to get an updated out the door from my dealer for a 23. He could not give me any info. I would expect 24 pricing info is een more nebulous?

The dealer cannot give you a document showing that your 2024 order will be the same price as your 2023 order. They just have to enter it as if it were a new order while using the original order number to link the new order to the 2023 order. Ford will then rebate you the difference after the vehicle is delivered. The dealer isn't price-matching; Ford is, via the rebate.
