Very timely Adam! As I write this, my wife is at the computer, ready to return my gift to RoKBlokz! (I went with a Santa Cruz). Send me a message with your mailing address, and an email (or PayPal address) so I can send a request for payment. The package is unopened except for the external...
  2. Dealer allocation how is it done in your area?

Yesterday evening I got to take the SC for a very brief drive for a few blocks around the lot in the dark, just before they closed. It Hadn’t been set up by the dealer yet. Didn’t even have a full instrument display. Really couldn’t see any details. But I was amazed by how solid, quiet, and...
  3. Dealer allocation how is it done in your area?

Got that right. Or it's just that they don't want us to know anything. If we were able to see what our odds were for getting our order pulled, a lot of us would immediately pull the plug. I did that myself yesterday, and as much as I wanted my Mav, 4 months of absolute silence and a crippling...

  5. đź“Ł 12/9 Scheduling Email Received Group [Emails Arriving!!!]

Used same approach in NM. 4 months -NADA. No constraints. I did notice some people got Lariat builds today, but in spite of what was promised early on, choosing the Ecoboost, didn't manifest anything for me, and now people are getting hybrids.
  6. Maverick may become sub-brand with additional vehicles says CEO Jim Farley

Ford really hit the nail on the head with this one, for many reasons. One example you wouldn’t know unless you’ve ever driven one is that after you open the driver’s door, you just pivot around and stand up, and you’re out. No climbing or stepping. Imagine you’re a delivery driver and you make...

Yeah, they’re really popular in EU for obvious reasons
  8. đź“Ł 12/9 Scheduling Email Received Group [Emails Arriving!!!]

Oh quit your ranting and whining! Do you begrudge all those poor people in South America for getting a truck before you do?
  9. đź“Ł 12/9 Scheduling Email Received Group [Emails Arriving!!!]

I wonder what will come first - i will get a build email, or I will find a Santa Cruz Limited somewhere that doesn’t have a $15K dealer add-on? C’mon! You know neither one of those is realistic you fool!
  10. Ford Maverick Engineering Test Mode!!! [How to Enter]

Lariats must still be in the concept phase. Been 4 months now and I’ve yet to see mine
  11. Maverick may become sub-brand with additional vehicles says CEO Jim Farley

Transit Connects have a whole following for camper conversions. People have crammed some amazing things into them - including full-size beds
  12. Future State of Buying Cars

Sales person said residency was a requirement, but it might be worth calling someone else over there and getting their version of the situation. I can't see how I could register in AZ when I live in NM. You could extrapolate to a time when everyone uses digital docs and just emails them around...
  13. Maverick may become sub-brand with additional vehicles says CEO Jim Farley

The only serious handicap for the TC is that the back is only about 6.5 feet long. Precludes carrying anything 4 x 8
  14. Dealer allocation how is it done in your area?

My large dealer said they have over 1,000+ orders. Have a hard time believing that. Would like to hear how many orders were taken by some other dealers. If 1,000 is true, that makes me feel like I have a very SLIM chance of getting pulled anytime soon! They certainly can't have anywhere near...
  15. Future State of Buying Cars

Sorry. Probably thought my quick response would immediately follow up your post. Guess somebody outdrew me. I checked your link and it reminded me, the salesperson asked if I had an AZ residence, which puzzled me. I don't. I think that's the snag. You have to be a state resident registered at...
  16. Anyone try their luck selling on Carvana, Vroom, etc.?

I'm probably doing better than many. Getting it for $500 over invoice OTD, and no multi-hundred dollar paper fee since I'm going to do the paperwork myself at the DMV. Not bad for a Lariat Lux in the current market
  17. Dealer allocation how is it done in your area?

Punctuation is as American as refusing to get vaccinated
  18. Apologies to all

I can tell you how I feel at 4 months of total silence. I'm trying to buy a SC, but I doubt I'll succeed because of the outrageous Hyundai price-gouging that's going on right now. That's why I haven't canceled my MAV order.
