That's exactly why Ford requires a copy of your current drivers license. It must match your current address.
False info.

Why would your driver's license have to have your current address? Consider some states won't even issue you a new one when you register a change of address.

If you want more than 1 Maverick it's like an FBI investigation (Ford is on to dealers shenanigans and they are working hard to eliminate the crap) Dealers are now subject to factory allocation restrictions if caught)
lol, where are you getting this info at? Are people who recently moved that haven't had their license updated to their new address (some people don't even bother) just SOL because their license address doesn't match? What if the dealer just puts in the wrong address or makes a typo? Does that mean the order is void? Doesn't make sense at all.

I agree with this statement. I think only the name needs to closely match. I had the wrong address on my drivers license for almost four years because I moved right after renewing it and didn't want to pay to get it updated.

The dealer wanted my physical address. My driver's license only has my mailing address which is a PO Box. I didn't have to provide anything to substantiate my physical address.

Your grievance should be with Ford, not other customers.
Or people like me who order a hybrid from local dealer. A year ago. Realized they were not making hybrids. You know what I'm talking about if you have followed maverick schedules from begging. So than you order a eco boost from granger cause of the deal and well it never arrived either. So now you have two full over orders and welp they say back to allocation system. So after a year you like I have to start over. Welp I'm going place 3 orders and might get one.

Why wouldn't you? The simple answer is for every order you put in that you don't need, your potentially taking a build slot away from a customer who actually wants a truck. Not saying that makes you a bad person. And it's the system allows you to do it, it's debatable off it's wrong or not. But that's a reason why you might not. Shoot I sometimes put my backpack in the overhead bin before everybody else is boarded, I know a lot of people would say that makes me a jerk. It's all a matter of perception
Putting your second bag in the overhead bin instead of under the seat in front of you is way worse than ordering multiple Mavs. Why not wait till everyone is boarded then find room for you bag? Oh the humanity that you might be slightly inconvenienced by a bag near your feet but the whole plane should maybe wait longer as people need to carry their bags back up front because there’s no room anymore because your precious feet just can’t handle sharing space with a bag.

I don't think it makes you a "bad person" but I certainly would question your character. It's one thing if you are going to use the Truck for a little while and then sell it. Example: buying an Ecoboost while waiting on a Hybrid and then sell Ecoboost. But to just take advantage of supply constraints in order to make a profit off other working class people is kind of wrong. People complain about the dealers doing it.. now we have other Maverick owners doing it to each other.
Nah. I selected option code 892: profit off the 1%ers only.

I don't want to come across as an ass, and I've only ordered one Maverick (two weeks). But I have to observe that there is no place for altruism in Capitalism. In retrospect, I wish I'd ordered 50 Mavericks. That would just about buy me a new house right now.

House flippers, car flippers - God Bless Them All. If you have the ambition and appetite for risk, you deserve your profits (or losses if the economy suddenly flips).
I wished people weren't stupid enough or desperate enough to give into scalpers though because it encourages the stupid to continue on.

I could use a newer or brand new car in the next year or so, just in time for a Maverick hybrid to come in. But I refuse to cave in if it doesn't come in and I would like to really advocate against even considering paying over sticker for any brand new car, I will literally buy anything else such as a recent enough or brand new Rav4, Equinox, Terrain, CRV, CX5, CX50, or Outlander. I believe, everyone else too can find something else as an alternate that is hitting lots if Ford can't deliver your order, or if you were late to getting an order in.

At least that's my game plan if 2024 order banks are about to open up I will cancel my '23 get in on opening day for a '24 Hybrid or PHEV if they make that an option, buy one of the aforementioned vehicles probably from Carmax unless Rav4 or CX5/CX50 then probably get that new and use a discount I have access to for both brands and then at least I have something at least better on fuel than the 4,000lbs hunk of steel with a crappy 4 speed and actually good straight-six engine but the weight and trans imo kill the Altas I6 from GM

When I called Ford Customer Service to make sure my order was good to go, they clearly had all my info on a screen in front of them, just off my phone number, before I even gave them my order number. Which tells me (former IT person) their system absolutely knows / shows if someone has ordered multiples, no matter where they ordered it. Which means if Ford WANTS to shove those folks to the back of the line, they absolutely can. Will they? Who knows.
Why would they? Ford makes the money selling the Maverick to the dealership. The dealership makes money selling it to you. As long as the dealer isn't putting in fake orders, and as long as you're buying what comes in.. no reason for them to try to penalize anyone.

I have no intention of holding onto my rollover XL Hybrid order. But I can buy it with the private offer I got from my MY22 rollover of $2750 and the 3% under inovice the dealer has promised, and sell it to a family member for cost. In GA, immediate family members only pay 0.5% tax rate on a private vehicle sale. So there will not be a true double-tax situation for us.

If no takers that way, then it will be sold to the highest offer. Carvana and Vroom are far from the only games in town.

The problem with this is that people with disposable income, or rich folks, will continue to keep purchasing material goods priced way above retail due to high demand. They don't give two hoots if they pay $10 grand over for a Maverick or $50 k over for a Lightning because they want it and they can afford it. The don't care that it continues the vicious cycle of low supply and high demand and crazy prices - look at the housing market for the past two years. And yes, I know, it's not just the wealthy that pay ridiculous prices. Like you I refuse to pay above MRSP so I'm also looking at the Rav4, CRV and the new Sportage, but not sure that the hybrids are going to be easy to find or affordable for those either. And Kia doesn't do "ordering," you just put in a request to your local dealer and if they ever get a shipment of the vehicle you're looking for that slightly matches what you want, you might get lucky. It's crazy going from dealer lots so full of choices to having to wait over a year or getting nothing.
