As we prepare for MY23 order banks opening on 8/2 I have a couple questions for those who submitted multiple orders this year.

1. Did you use the same email for all your orders?

2. If so, how did you know what order Ford was referring to when you got an email?

My understanding is that the private offer for those pushed from MY22 to MY23 will be tied to our email/name/address on our original order. So thinking I may let my existing MY22 order ride as-is with my current dealer for MY23, and go for a less constrained build elsewhere.

1 is yes
2 The dealer name is mentioned in email. If you ordered more than one from the same dealer, good question. I guess VIN??

If you ordered with the same dealer, the dealer would be able to tell which one it scheduled. Additionally, if you ordered a different color the image on the displayed Maverick will be the color of the order.

if you’re just getting delay emails and you’re not scheduled for anything. It could easily apply to all your orders

I have three open orders at three different dealers. I got one email. I used different email addresses for each order but the email only came to the address I used for the first of the three.

Right now my plan is to take two of the three and cancel the first one. I'm hoping that I will be able to use private offers for both. I suppose I will have to wait and see if that happens. If it doesn't I might cancel two of the three and just keep one for 2023.

I believe I have two different emails listed. I received emails from Ford from two different emails, but I only got the June Ford email from one of mine.

I have no idea which order is for which email address and Ford Customer Service wasn't able to help in that. It does not mention the dealer name in the email at all.

I am hoping I get two private offers, one for each order and they will say which order it applies to.

If you cancel you are doing the dealer a favor because they will mark up +$10-$15k. Sell them on Craigslist so you make the money instead its easy.

Theoretically they shouldn't be able to re-order a 23 without your permission. I believe it has to COVP all over again so that would require forging the customer's signature. I am going to reorder both of mine with the intent of selling one.

I'm canceling the order to get my deposit back once I get the private offer. I don't have any desire to buy and flip truck #1. I have been completely unimpressed with the dealer where I placed the order; no communication at all, even when they should have contacted me about removing constraint items. They have had my $500 for six months, I'd like it back. If they enter a 2023 order in my name and forge everything to do so, so be it.

My current plan is to make order #2, with Granger, as simple an EcoBoost as possible and hope it gets scheduled quickly. Then I will drive that until order #3, with Long McArthur, gets built. I'm changing the LM order to a Lariat Hybrid with the luxury package so I expect to wait a long time for that. Once it is built I will figure out what to do with the EB. I don't want to add a third truck into that mix.

It's up to you of course but with inflation at over 9% since last year, your $500 is now worth $455. Or you could flip and make 20X on your $500 investment. If I could make 20X on a stock, I would take that all day long.

Giving the Mav you control with your DL and deposit back to your dealer for free is like handing your investment profit over to your stock broker.

Truck 1 might be built 6 months earlier than the others so at least you would have a Mav to drive around and save on gas.

Hello, new here.
It's funny sad how we got to this place.
If people can really make multiple orders, and the extra orders that we choose to pass on just get sold with markup at the dealership, it kinda hurts those waiting for theirs, correct?

I would hope that those who have multiple orders would be cancelling any orders for Mavericks that they not claim themselves, whether that be to keep or flip, and aren't just letting the dealership keep these orders active and getting stock to mark up. Also, for customer orders that are cancelled through the dealership, how can you be sure that they are actually cancelling them?

Funny thing is that I have seen a lot of people complaining about the wait times to receive their Maverick, but also have multiple orders "just in case". More orders = Longer wait. If MY23 orders are duplicated like they were for MY22, I'll never get a Maverick.
