when you say you have 118 allocations what actually does this mean? Does it mean that 118 folks have ordered Mavericks through you and they will be built in November? Or, does it mean you will receive 118 Mavericks for your lot that you can sell? Not clear on this. Thanks.
118 customer orders that will get scheduled build dates in November. Dealers are not receiving any stock allocations right now.

Allocations are the number of builds a dealer can be scheduled for. So out of the XXX number of orders that they have, 118 of them can be scheduled in November. It has nothing to do with actually being built, just being put on the schedule to be built.

About 300. We have had 400 total, 100 have already been scheduled.
Wow so 118 allocations is a ton when you put it in that perspective.. nearly half your open orders.

This doesn't surprise me. My production date got pushed back from the week of 12/20 to the week of 1/3 so there is some stuff already scheduled for January at this point. It wouldn't surprise me if other delays have most of January's production schedule already allocated to those that were delayed.

Ha ha ha I was assured that my build was for November 9th, I also remember my recruiter telling me that my chances of being sent to Vietnam were negligible too. Hmmm, notice my pic on the left;) at this point what’s another week or two, or three or……;) it’s like dealing with the VA. Disability System, defer then delay. I’m starting to get used to this and that’s scary;) ;) ;)

I always thought of myself as a patient person, you know, good things come to those who wait kind of guy. But this is really testing me. Ordered 1st week of August, order confirmed within a hour then nothing....crickets, nothing from dealer, nothing from Ford, at least the Bronco order has given me a production date & 2 pushed dates !
Ordered in June

Yep, I'm exactly with you. Haven't heard even the crickets. I bother the dealership once in awhile as am not sure they are really looking out for me.

Here’s my only problem with this entire process. Ford starts a new program where consumers can order a product instead of the dealer stocking it yet they revert to their old “allocation“ system. The consumers that ordered first should get the priority and the hell with “allocating” by size of dealer. The “new” idea for going directly to the consumer is a big dud. They should be throwing out their old system and do FIFO or just go back to the old system and just build stock orders.

In all fairness to Ford if you read through the confirmation email you received they specifically mention the minimum amount of times they will contact you. No where do they ever say they contact you every time a delay in production happens or even allude to letting us know how the inner workings of their allocation system works.

1. Confirmation email
2. Scheduled for Production email
3. Built email
4. Shipped email

Well, "deep sigh". I ordered in September. I was hoping for a December delivery, because that is when my lease was up. Now that I have that extended to April. I'm hoping for a Late March delivery. That should be a good time, as winter driving should pretty much be over by then. Dry roads and sunshine . I always try to be positive. It puts me in a better mood.

I'd say a late March-April delivery is a good guess for your Maverick.
But who knows what plant shutdowns could be coming up. That's the wild card that no one wants to bet on.
