Well in that case then, I also highly recommend bailing on the order and getting something else. Especially if a pickup is not a 100% necessity.... There are deals to be had and not all dealers are trying to rip you off with markups and adjustments.
The frustration and anticipation were...
Your post was probably sarcastic, but all this BS every week further reassures my decision to jump ship a few weeks back and ditch my order...
I have no horse left in this race but it still ticks me off every time I come around the forum and see what a mess everything still is. Hope it works...
If you continue reading through the thread, you'll see that I've given up and purchased a Prius instead (couldn't be happier by the way). I still got the "Important Update" email that went out the other day so Mullinax never took my email off the order. Still no sign of a build date yet.
I got the email... then I "lol"ed and put my phone back on to the holder in my brand new Prius.. I feel bad for everyone waiting but Ford continues to reassure me I made the right decisions to move on.
I dropped out of waiting for my Maverick due to personal reasons but still wanted a hybrid. I ended up with a Prius (i don't know why I still poke around the forum). I have 0 concerns about the hybrid system and unless someone is looking for specific performance (towing capacity, AWD, racing), I...
I highly doubt if I call and "cancel" my order that it will actually get cancelled. It would just convert to dealer stock anyway is my understanding. Last I heard, Mullinax is not putting ridiculous mark ups like other dealers anyway. If it means someone else local can go buy one with only a...
My wife and I were skeptical at first, but the test drive blew us away. Prius Limited. Over the past 5 days back and forth to work, I've averaged 62 mpg. Quiet, smooth ride, leather interior feels luxurious, loads of interior space, 12" screen, adaptive cruise and lane keep nearly drives...
I jump shipped and ended up buying a Prius (don't ask me why I still poke around on the forum.. bored I guess), but I still get frustrated for everyone when I see the lack of progress...
With my luck I was fully expecting a build date email this week, but the fact I did not get one just...
Well all, we went out car shopping Sunday and drove home in a 2022 Prius Limited. A little bit of a departure from the Maverick but we were thoroughly impressed with the ride quality and roomy interior. It was fully loaded and only $5K-ish more than the Lariat would have been so with me...
Well we went to two Toyota dealerships and I guess we were in the right spot at the right time. Made a deal on a fully loaded 2022 Prius Limited and was able to drive it home today. We originally went in looking for a Rav4 but the Prius exceeded our expectations. Ride quality was amazing, way...
I'm actually from Florida and from what I hear that's prime for EVs, minus the AC. Been actually leaning more towards the prime the more I research it. Thinking about pulling out of savings and reimbursing myself when the tax credit comes in so I could put more down so it's more in our price range.
Yes, you can add the audio package, which adds a bunch of other stuff, but there is no option to upgrade the dash. And then at that point anyway, you're back up to the cost of an XSE anyway.
I don't know why, but I don't like the interior in the Escape. Even in the Titanium trim, something just screams rental car to me... If it had the same interior storage options and center console/dash layout as the Maverick (minus the little cubby by the screen), I would definitely consider it.
I was considering the Prime but its a little out of my price range. From my understanding, the federal tax credit does not get deducted from the cost of the car, correct?
Also, how often do you plug it in and how much has your electricity bill gone up?
