I have early 2022 XL worked for me.
My base model 2022 XL can update the audio over wifi but not having any luck with the mentioned service. In fact my Ford Pass (updated yesterday) doesn't have the choices in settings.

Is there a change history for the update? Or is it the useless “bug fixes and performance improvements” message most companies deploy?

I do every time. WHY? I have seen vehicles that rolled just a tad after being turned off and it jammed the gears so much you could not shift out of park. A close friend had it happen on an Escape and had to get towed out of the dip it stopped in. That is why it is called a parking brake. Plus when I was learning to drive in 1975 the driver's education teacher hounded us to always set the brake since we were learning on a manual transmission.
Ya, I lost that good habit.
At that point in time also very useful to just keep things moving so no rust freeze ups.
Just in case it was needed for emergency, or a steep hill.
Nothing like using the PB after a long while and it not release, or you hear a snap on trying to use!

If you park on a hill is the only reason I can think of. My entire area is very flat. I may have parked on a hill 3 times in the last 10 years.

Once in 23 years of Towing was I called out for this. Was a limo parked in a steep driveway. Told the driver to always use the brake when on a hill, before putting in park. No more issues. But no one in my area uses parking brakes on automatic. It's 99% flat.

24 XLT - No Connected Services Available.
With Android app v5.19.0 - 2023255.

Wasn't it the tow package on certain models that used to display more info to assist in aligning the hitch, which showed up in that space?
And then it was removed?
Maybe it was moved to the center stack screen to be big & visible.
Be curious what Lariat trims see in that space.
And updated yesterday at some point.

v5.20.0 - 2023256

Logged out - just to prove a point.
Closed app.
Opened app.
Loggen in.

Still only under Vehicle - Settings - Vehicle Access - Invite Drivers/Reset Instructions.

No update settings.

For those with 2025's - like us with pre-25's - do you have option on infotainment center section dealing with updates to set a time to check and perform already?
We did.
Just no remote access to change the settings.

Just like no remote access to change some of the remote start settings that are contained in the truck - but 25 does I believe.

Merely a difference the 25's have for an improvement.
If it works.

In theory should be easy, BIOS's and firmware have been doing it for years, just need a touch of extra memory to store backup in until finished - in case things go wrong.
Oh, like power drops too low...

Curious what happens when you run out to truck for that late night ER visit to family member - and truck informs you it's in the middle of an update - please wait 30 min.
Because I'm oh so sure this will be faster than what Ford techs could accomplish.
Oh wait - you can pick your update day/time!
Family - no one is allowed to get sick or hurt on Sun night between midnight and 5 am!

Will be nice getting updates OTA, but who sets their parking brake?
I do every time even though I have not owned a manual transmission vehicle for nearly 10 years now. It would take a lot to convince me that it's cheaper to replace a parking pawl than a parking brake, probably even more so now that the brake is an independent electronic unit that can just be swapped out. Even on flat ground, it just makes me cringe when the vehicle lurches into the pawl, and that's what is holding the whole thing in place.

As for the OTA update, not seeing it on 5.19.0 Android, but I am not eager to sign up for automatic updates unless Ford guarantees different delivery channels (beta, pilot, general availability). I don't want to be getting updates until they have already been well vetted in beta testing, and a pilot group that agreed to early updates. It would be tough to call in as an IT worker because Ford bricked my vehicle overnight when an update that wasn't tested rolled out.

I have always been aware of my parking brake use since the first time I had it freeze up in the on position after a cold night on my first car as a teen. During winter months, sixties cars had a tendency to freeze if the (parking brake) mechanisms were wet from driving on the wintery roads. I learned quickly the hard way not to use the parking brake during winter months. But also, that you had to use them regularly to keep the system operational. Now that I live in the South, I usually always use my parking brakes on my standard transmission equipped vehicles and only on steep inclines with my automatics applying before and after shifting to/from park. I don't think modern cars are still prone to the parking brake freezing during the Winter, but I really don't know.

That's right, I forgot about the winter effect.
Maybe that's why I got out of the habit, got stuck once.
I know the mechanical disc parking brake could still freeze up, recall that in a Sable, and dealing with the foot push PB was annoying when stuck. Taurus had the combo disk/drum PB but still mechanical, and I don't recall using it much.

So many different reasons no one would habitually set parking brake - I doubt anyone would remember they set that night as their software update potential night and suddenly remember to set it.

You probably replied to the wrong thread.

The airbag light campaign, which isn't fixed by a software update anyway, has no fix being applied yet.

You are mixing 2 things together.

This thread hasn't shared that any update has occurred to the truck either, only to the Fordpass app.

Has a fix, but the parts are not available yet.

I had a 2022 radio with 2025 software versions.
I know because wireless Android Auto worked I was overjoyed.
As far as I've ever read, Ford Sync 3 does not support Wireless Android Auto natively?
