Not hypermiling, but I’m taking the truck on its first long trip / road trip this weekend. Three hours in at mostly 75mph and I’m getting 42mpg.

pretty blown away by that figure - was expecting mid 30s at best.

just can’t say enough good things about this truck!

It took you 51 minutes to travel 18.2 miles? You can't expect everyone to drive that slow
That's not drive time. Every minute sitting anywhere adds to that. Including lights and stops at drive thru.

Its the entire time the Maverick is "on"
Yeah. Doesn't mean the engine runs. Doesn't mean I'm driving. I don't hit stop just because I'm parked. It's not an ICE running nonstop.

Well this says I will make the 700 club. I am in a rural area so there can be some distance between fuel stops. I will push it as far as I dare and add an update. This tankfull included about 40 miles interstate with 5 passengers at 60 - 70 mph. The rest was my daily drive, so I am sure I wwill make it some day.

Your temp is the major secret, I live in Phoenix, and right now our temps are between 105-110. Before the big temp increase and we were in the 70-80's I was getting 640 miles per tank, I'll be lucky to get 550 miles

Very seldom do I see 100 deg. But I did notice when I first picked it up we were still having some low 30, and 40 days, and temp does cause a lot of variation in efficiency.

I really does, I was seeing my best mileage between 70-85 degrees.

I should have kicked cruise off and coasted to a stop to get over 70mpg, but I was tired of driving 40mph and my turn was close.

98F when I started. 94F at picture. 72F inside with AC and radio blasting. 200lb me and 100lb of tool. Hard bed cover. Only 4 cars passed me on this desolate road.

Test. Not sure if my registration is approved. Did 700 miles on last tank and computer showed 52.5 mpg. edit.... Well, I guess I am approved.
