Finally got the display pic on my hard drive so I can attach it. I did a little better the next tank. So far, the computer seems to overstate my actual mileage by about 5%. Boy, was my display dusty..

Thats not bad 49% E mode to total.

If you push it far enough down the run then you have to fuel up..

Everytime you push it further, it adds up and sometime you will fill up 1 time less then usual.

I guess I have an advantage here in the hill country cause theres plenty of hills to coast/recharge on, this is where I could use a bigger battery to recover the lost energy, several times the charge gets maxed out and I am not done with coasting downhill.

Yep charge maxes out and engine brake happens.

I really does, I was seeing my best mileage between 70-85 degrees.

Apparently not much energy used in that range to heat/cool HVB

Makin, so when the BECM maxes out charge and still coasting downhill, the Mav just scrubs off extra energy as engine braking?

In the charge screen the box develops on the hybrid mode, when the box on the left appears, does that mean the BECM is charged enough to go into E mode?

Got to press those miles to empty and make sure you know how far you really can go. I read somewhere after the calculation is made it can be +38% or -28% error, which is huge!! I guess I have been lucky, I took it down to single digit twice, and lower then 20 a few times now, I haven't ran it out of fuel yet.

I probably won't push over 650 miles from now on. I put in 14.25 gallons and there couldn't have been much fuel left. The display said 52.6 mpg but I calculated 48.5 the old-fashioned way. Got 50.6 on the next tank (old-fashioned calculation).

Those are good numbers, about the best i can do in this 110° temp, next plateau is cool weather and/or break in.

It all depends on how you drive.
She sold her car in January with 126,000 miles and the original brake pads! Service guys were always amazed about the brake pads!

That is nothing. Nothing big at all. My 2005 Ford Escape Hybrid went 11 years and 215,000 miles on the original brake pads.

I think I'm gonna get 750 miles. On the tank I drove off the dealer's lot. So who knows how full it was. Truck had 12 miles when I got it. I've never opened the gas filler door yet! Lovin' it!

By the way, on perfectly flat terrain you can get up to 3.3 miles of EV on a charge. 0 to 25 mph and hit 3 stop signs. Back up to 25 mph each time. Residential.
