Indeed. I see people (not many mind you) wearing shorts and light jackets when it's 14F, 45 is a warm winter day!
Temperature is a very relative thing. In Iceland, I once laid out on a picnic table wearing only a pair of shorts and got sunburned. High for the day was 32F. In Saudi Arabia, in the summer, anything below 100F was considered "Nice". After sundown, below about 80F, the jackets came out. Below 70F, the heavy coats came out.

No doubt. After we had a few 105+F days last summer, anything under 90F felt cool, till fall hit anyway. 😄

And you don't even have to go that far.

Here in Tucson we met with our friends outdoors last summer. We'd wait until the sun hit the horizon and it dropped to 100F so everyone would be comfortable. Humidity was in the single digits, so it really was pretty nice.

Yep. 45F in September feels a lot different than 45F in February.

Can anybody confirm if the hybrid has a beltless engine, like a Toyota Prius? Are all the accessories like the power steering, AC compressor, and water pump powered by electricity, eliminating the need for drive belts? If so, this is an advantage of the hybrid, in my opinion. Less belts means fewer moving parts and less maintenance.
Yep! Beltless

It does NOT have a CVT with belt and pulleys. It has an eCVT with a planetary and DC motor like the Toyota hybrid. Much better.

OP was asking about the presence of a serpentine/accessory belt on the engine.

Because a good chunk of context was taken out the way you quoted his post? 45 degrees is a light jacket, and not uncomfortable inside a car. It's not really such a big compromise.
By the way from what I've seen if the heating is on frequently good luck getting near 600 miles, it's a huge hit to the MPG.
I leave the auto climate control set at 70-75 degrees at all times, so the heat was on pretty much all the time during February thru April. And at fill up I've always had enough left to make it to at least 600 miles. Calculated manually, I get 42-44 MPG in complete comfort.

To that I would say probably. The CVT was a deal breaker for me.

*eCVT, Way way better than a standard CVT. CVT is belt driven and eCVT is gear driven.

Why was the CVT a deal breaker for you? The Maverick doesn't have a CVT to has a eCVT.

Yes, when I first looked into the Maverick they said it was a CVT. Which, to my experience, is problem prone and lossy. Then, a few months later, I looked into it again and found it was an eCVT which I like. Wish I would have found out it was an eCVT at first and I might have ordered then and I might have my Maverick now instead of being in ordering limbo.
