Looks like you were right. I realized after you mentioned it that the drive mode indicator wasn’t showing for any of the drive modes. Just like in normal.

Now that I’ve returned it to factory it shows again.

I wasn’t able to locate any of the drive modes in IPC.

So for now back to button select. Let me know if you find a way to make it work.

So cool!

Here is my solution, also using a Fet to switch ground, so no clicking:

Ford Maverick Default to Eco-Mode with this DIY Module 20230512_001957

Replaces the unused micro3 fuse 1/2 and uses the ground terminal in the fuse box. The module enclosure is small enough to fit right in the fuse box.

Two wires run to the cable harness in the center console. Takes about 5-10 minutes to install.

Power on the key, after 5 seconds the auto stop button is pressed and the driver mode is selected (5 pushes for Eco).

Works like a charm so far.

I have parts for several more, PM me if anyone is interested.

I just got this one ready for a forum member. Been testing mine for a few days, working great. I still have parts for a few more. Takes 10 minutes to install.

I have several "My Mav Mode" modules available now, new casing and little branded sticker, lol.

(My bad, MTC said I can't sell them here unless I sponsor the site. I'm working on that step now)

Easier to just use Forscan and disable the other modes. Makes eco default.

Cool.

My Mav is in the shop, probably will be there for weeks so Ford gave me a rental.
In the shop for broken motor mount(s) with your engine flopping around?

Did you mention to the repairing dealership (under warranty???) and point them here to your many posts about you towing 1.5-2x your Hybrids rated capacity, stating that the truck is fully capable, and defending those tows on multiple threads?

Just asking for a friend.....

Which dealership has your truck?

Some have said it changes the screen, but not the actual mode. It still defaults to normal behavior. But I haven't tried.

Unrelated but thanks for asking.
"Unrelated" LOL

You posted here that your engine is flopping around with at least 1 obvious broken motor mount...

You've continuously posted that you have far (far) exceeded the Hybrids tow capacity, and ~2x. and that it's OK

And you don't think they are related? All the threads are saved...

Based on the MPG I’m getting, I’m lending towards it works.

I have used forescan quite a bit.

I disagree that it is an easier solution. The other modes certainly have utility.

What most people request is not to have them removed, but to be able to default to the one they like the most.
