Just got back from my 24 Hybrid XL's inaugural road trip, 2500 miles. Flawless, with 42, 36, 44, and 40 mpg tanks. I was very pleased.
I got back Sunday afternoon and feeling a bit under the weather, I postponed cleaning out the truck until today. Grabbed the fob and hit unlock. Nothing. Tried the other fob. Nothing. Manually unlocked the door and checked the voltage on the 12V battery, 4 volts.
I did get a message from the Ford Pass app prior about going into deep sleep mode. I thought it was odd, but ignored it.
I'm charging the battery now, but it shouldn't have died since there are only 2800 miles on the clock. Could there be any reason for this happening besides a bad battery? I didn't touch the headlights (on auto) or the overhead light.
The truck did sit at the dealers for three months between my test drive and driving it home (backup cam stop sale), but they assured me they were taking care of it.
Once the battery is charged (if it charges), is there anything special I need to do to reset the system?
