Hilly is good for mpg. I ease off the throttle slightly going up a hill and goose the accelerator at the top. Then I leave off the accelerator to induce electric mode, and then coast down or keep the power level below 10% to stay in electric mode as long as possible.
No recalls in Ford Pass. Seems it's just a service bulletin.
I have an appointment at the dealer this coming week. With all this good information, I will definitely tell them to replace the battery if they don't offer to.
Got it.
So is it a design flaw that with a dead 12V battery, you can't start the truck using the HVB, assuming it has enough units of firkin*furlong^2/fortnight ^2?
Note: 1 firkin*furlong^2/fortnight ^2 is a little more than 11 ergs or a little less 3.14*10^-10 watt-hours. Now you know.
Good info. I scheduled a service appointment. Ford Pass sent me a Service Engine Soon Warning.
I did use AC a bit for the first time in the last leg of my road trip.
The battery charger didn't do a thing for the battery so I had to jump start the Maverick with my ever trustworthy Ranger. I had...
Just got back from my 24 Hybrid XL's inaugural road trip, 2500 miles. Flawless, with 42, 36, 44, and 40 mpg tanks. I was very pleased.
I got back Sunday afternoon and feeling a bit under the weather, I postponed cleaning out the truck until today. Grabbed the fob and hit unlock. Nothing. Tried...
Not any more. The tax credit, as it stands now, can be deducted from the purchase price at the dealer. If you make TOO MUCH money, then you have to pay that credit back. We bought an Equinox EV that way and I guess we don't make too much money (since the tax program we used told us we didn't...
The discounts I see on Autotrader today (200mi radius) are less than the discount I got in January for my 2024 XL Hybrid. Most are still showing at MSRP or a little less.
Just got a note from the dealership where I bought my 2024 Maverick XL Hybrid. Although I bought the truck, they wouldn't let me take it until the backup camera issue was fixed. Seems a fix has come through and I should be able to pick up my truck on Saturday.
I did buy a 2024 Maverick Hybrid XL a couple of weeks ago. I was able to test drive it, but not take it home.
The reason I bought a non-drivable vehicle was (1) the Maverick was $1.8K under MSRP - pretty good for a hybrid these days (2) my trade-in was losing value every month (3) this dealer...
