Me as well 24 Lariat! It is annoying! I do remember seeing something about a potential recall for dash rattles???I have a very specific clunk coming from my dash possibly behind the instrument cluster. Sounds like something is flopping back n forth. It started the second day I owned my 24 Latiot Tremor. I purchased it in July this year. It now has less than 1,500 miles on it. Very annoying.

I purchased mine in June and only noticed any rattles after I installed a grid in the cubby. When I dont have my phone locked into the phone mount is when I've heard it but I hope its not just a coincidence.I have a very specific clunk coming from my dash possibly behind the instrument cluster. Who do I send the private message to?Good morning, Phred. Would you please send over a private message with your VIN and dealer info so I can look into this rattle concern?
Not comfortable sending VIN. Not sure whoGood morning, Phred. Would you please send over a private message with your VIN and dealer info so I can look into this rattle concern?
Hi Merv! I can look into your Maverick's noise concern on my end. To get started, could you please send a private message over with the name/location of your local Ford dealer and your Maverick's VIN?Also since day one in my 24 xlt hybrid BAP. I’ve have a dash rattle that sounds something like a little subwoofer vibrating the interior of my dash. Every single bump going under 35. Its on the passenger side and Is somewhat muffled if you press down hard on the dash. Very hard to pinpoint… I love my truck, but this really bums me out and drives me nuts.
Hopefully they can figure it out.04320B (4.8) ,
TEST DRIVE UNIT, HEARD INTERMITTENT RATTLE/POP NOISE DURING BODY
BEST NEAR BASE OF WINDSHIELD, ABOUT 1/4 OF THE WAY ACROSS FROM THE LEFT. REMOVE COWL TRIM AND WIPER MOTOR, CHECK AND VERIFY NO OBVIOUS SOURCES OF NOISE FOUND. TEST DRIVE UNIT.
FOUND NOISE IS STILL PRESENT.
WHILE DRIVING, FOUND NOISE GOES AWAY WHEN TOP OF IP IS PRESSED NEAR DEFROSTER VENT. ACCESS DEFROST GRILLE PANEL, FOUND UPPER DEFROST PLENUM NOT PROPERLY LOCATED ON IP BRACE/LOCATING TABS ALLOWING VENT TO POP/RATTLE DURING BODY FLEX. ACCESS IP, REMOVE AND REINSTALL UPPER DEFROST PLENUM PROPERLY ON LOCATING TABS. REINSTALL IP, WIPER MOTOR AND COWL. TEST DRIVE UNIT TO CONFIRM REPAIR, NO FURTHER NOISE HEARD AT THIS TIME. NM TIME TO REMOVE AND REINSTALL DEFROST PLENUM AS THERE IS NO LABOR OPERATION PUBLISHED IN SLTS. CODE TO 18490.

Taking back Tuesday morning as rattle/pop is still present as described in technician account.
Yep that is what I came to the conclusion of as well. The defroster vents are rubbing the dash and causing the clunking from what I can tell. Looks like not much can be done unless you take the entire dash apart, which might just introduce additional rattling.Noise is definitely on the inside for me, not under the windshield cowl. The vents and the upper dash have no insulation between them as far as I can tell. Not sure how the tech removed and reinstalled anything as to get to those parts, just about the entire dash needs to be ripped apart. Very, very poor build quality and an incredibly stupid place for Ford to save money.
The more and more "little" issues I have, the more I'm thinking about dumping it and never buying a Ford again. This is just insane.Yep that is what I came to the conclusion of as well. Got it back again yesterday. NO longer hear the rattle. Just had to re-reseat the vent work.Hopefully they can figure it out.
Do you have any details on how they did that? Would love to pass that along, and fix it for good. I assume they had to tear the entire dash apart? Any damage from that?Got it back again yesterday. NO longer hear the rattle. Just had to re-reseat the vent work.
