I have a 24 XLT hybrid, no Luxury, and I am perfectly happy with that -- except for the lack of adaptive cruise. Really wish it had it, but wasn't nearly worth the $$. (Push button start would be nice to but that's a much smaller deal to me, and has some security downsides to boot.)Thanks for all the replies! Sounds like my fear is unfounded which is great.
Now do I get XLT with luxury package or Lariat. Really don’t want to pay the Lariat price but like adaptive cruise, easier to clean seats, and spray in bed liner. Might just see what I can get the best deal on.
X2 the storage under the rear bench seat is Nice for Gallon Jugs of Water or 12 packs of Water and Sweet Tea.FWIW you can still store some of those things under your rear bench seat.
I had an Escape before and loved my trunk/hatch area. Filled it with clothes and fire starter, blankets, jumper cables, scissors, TP, Games and all sorts of junk.
I don't miss it.
my 24 XL does not have electronic tailgate locking. You have to use a "key", like some sort of caveman. You did ask if the tailgate locks. It does on my Lariat and I'm sure it also did with my XLT. Don't know if the central locking includes the XL, but I'd be surprised if it didn't.
I have the Leer cap and when it is locked, it is nice and secure. The lights coordinate with the truck which is nice.
I thought we all had to use a key for the tailgate - my 25 Lobo needs the key.my 24 XL does not have electronic tailgate locking. You have to use a "key", like some sort of caveman.
I have the base Lobo, but I’ll try my fob next time I back there. Thanks for the tip! I don’t need no stinking owners Manual when I have forum brosNope, no key needed to unlock the tailgate of my 23 XLT with the lux package. It unlocks with the fob or my OEM keypad.
