When will Ford close the assembly line to convert to MY2023?
We ordered a hybrid Sept 1, looking for delivery 6 to 8 weeks after the change over:confused:
Somebody has to get the last 22 hybrid that gets built, might as well be us
;)

My understanding is that assuming MY22 allocations are sold through, Ford will complete production of MY22 Mavericks sometime around year-end with owners taking delivery in January and beyond. Hybrid production for MY23 will begin sometime in the summer.

I think there was a post about this somewhere....try a search.

I haven't seen any post that suggests production would be complete around year-end. There are a number of people without build dates and Ford would really have to step up their game to finish even by February.

I do hope you are right and if you can point me to a source, you would make my day!

Here's hoping I am wrong.

It was in the press release for the EPA rating. It said orders for '22 Hybrid will stop early November, and ordering will resume mid summer for what can be assumed for the '23 model year. It mentions nothing about deliveries or production, only orders, so there is a chance they could still be producing and making deliveries of '22 hybrids well into 2022.

Fords model year change over is normally done in early fall. Sept/Oct.

If you ordered 9/1 why would you expect to get one of the last hybrids built when orders for '22 model year have continued through October?

2022 isn’t sold out yet. It will be soon.
If you ordered, it will be a 2022.

Press release said that in very early November Ford will stop taking orders for '22 Mavericks. It will take them until mid summer to build the orders that they have now.
I believe that they have already stopped taking First Edition orders already.

Bright spot, if you are desperate is the the First edition is only offered for the first model year 2022, So we will have to get them before they change over to 2023 models!

I think Hybrid orders are cutting off in November for two reasons: (1) lots of orders and (2) limited production capability.

FORD sent a memo to dealers (on Monday?) that confirmed what everyone thought:

"We planned for approximately 40 percent of Maverick production to by hybrid with actual demand exceeding our expectations."

What are you quoting that from? Something that someone else said? Do we actually have a copy of that memo? Just wondering since the telephone game is strong in here.

It's from a memo that Ford sent to dealers (several days ago now).

I do. My dealer showed it to me on his computer and then printed it out for me on my promise not to post it online (so he wouldn't get in trouble).

No one can predict build dates due to parts shortages.

At this time we can only hope that all our 22 orders will be built and delivered.

Since I ordered a hybrid on 29 Oct I am prepared if Ford tells me it's a no-go.
